Here we are hangin' out at the pool, celebrating our nations birthday. I took the picture, so you can't see me. From left to right is my brother and sister-in-law, my sons Godfather and husband, my niece and in the for front is my son. Cheesin' it up as usual. 
And not to be left out of the Independence Day celebration is the pampered pooch, Hershey Bar. He's a Beagle-Lab mix and he HATES the water, go figure.
Our holiday menu included hamburgers and hot dogs. Baked beans, red skin potatoes and corn on the cob. For desert, if you can get it down, we had ambrosia salad. It was a great day. Fireworks from every direction lit up the night sky. Another fantastic 4th of July on Hatteras Island.

Is Hershey getting to be a geezer? He looks a little gray around the muzzle.
What a sweetie pie. Oh, and Hershey is too!

Hershey just turned 6. And we call him Sweetie Pie too!
He's the best dog and has really been a good dog here on vacation. We only had to sedate him once during the ride down so he wouldn't attack the toll takers. LOL
He started eating (his food) yesterday. I think he's still getting used to the surroundings.
