Invitation to submit to dhimmitude

I've resisted posting my comments regarding the Iranian "nutter in chief" 18 page letter to President Bush. I traveled the blog-o-sphere, hitting popular sites looking for something to indicate what Laura Mansfield and Robert Spencer had concluded to be the true intention of the mini novel. To the untrained eye it may appear as though an olive branch had been extended. One couldn't be further from the truth. During a press conference in Jakarta, Ahmadinejad admitted that his letter to President Bush was an invitation to Islam and the prophets culture.
"We act according to laws and our activities are quite clear. We are rather intent on solving more fundamental global matters.
"The letter was an invitation to monotheism and justice, which are common to all divine prophets. If the call is responded positively, there will be no more problems to be solved," added the president.
It seems the "nutter" has all his koranic ducks-in-a-row. He has extended the invitation to America to accept islam before an attack is launched. This president and our country will undoubtedly refuse. What concerns me is the focus of the American public. We have been beat over the head with a muslim tolerance stick. We are not as vigilant as we were following 9/11. The sleeper cells in this country may have received their orders.

I followed the link to the Ahmadinejad speech in Indonesia, and then went to another link from there, about a speech Ahmadinejad gave that mentioned Israel:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad commenting on materialization of peace in the Middle East despite the presence of Zionist regime, said here Thursday that the Zionists' nature is based on threat, which is incompatible with peace.

Nobody's safe with this guy in charge. And our intelligence community is so busy trying to stab President Bush in the back that they haven't got a clue how close Iran is to having nuclear weapons to use to obliterate Israel and then come after us.

You're right that we're not vigilant. All we can do is pray that the sleeper cells don't wake up.

Good post, Janice.

I want desperately to believe that the "alarmists" are wrong, but not so desperately that I am willing to close my eyes and make myself blind to facts and reality.

It's time for this country, it's leaders and citizens, to take off the blinders, open their eyes and take action before the enemy does.

This guy has the whole muslim ummah behind him.
You're right on the mark Skye, the intelegence agencies are busy bringing down this administration and their efforts to stop attacks.
Christina, we need to remain in between the alarmist and the ostrich. Just keep spreading the word.
