Supreme court upheld Solomon Amendment

Today the Supreme court, in a unanimous decision, upheld the right of the military to recruit on college campuses. You can read it here, but in a nutshell the court said if you take millions in federal money you must allow the military the ability to recruit and have full access to the student body. This is a huge victory for America.

A VICTORY? I THINK NOT! MOST COLLEGE STUDENTS ARE ON STUDENT LOANS WHICH WILL BE PAID BACK WITH INTEREST. SO WHO'S MAKING MONEY OFF OF OUR YOUTH? OUR NATION WOULD BE BETTER SERVED IF THERE WERE MORE EDUCATION AND LESS MILITARY!!!

They should pay for THEIR own education. Why should the taxpayer? I already pay for enough social programs that don't work. The colleges don't have to let the military on campus, then they don't get paid. Less military? Yes.... there's nothing like an educated populus that can't defend itself.

Anonymous, you are an idiot. Did you read the post? There are colleges that don't take federal money. Grove City and Urbana to name two. What do you have against the military being on campus? Do you think the lure will be to great for your children to resist and end up in uniform? Do they not have free will? Better to wear army stripes than choir tights!

Do you have children who serve in the miltary or did you?

How about forcing the kids who fail to pay back their college loans... to serve in the military. That works for me.
