They're at the gate...CAIR candidate wins!

Did you ever think we'd hear shouts of "allahu akbar" during a political campaign speech in America? Well, we did. Only the news camera cut away to a confused anchorman before we could get the reaction from the liberal infidels there to support Keith Ellison.

As most of you probably know, Minnesota elected the first muslim to congress. Keith Ellison, CAIR's candidate, won the 5th district seat and made history on Tuesday. A celebratory whine-o-gram, congratulating Ellison, applauded voters for rejecting the "islam-bashing" and profiling that came from the Republican candidate. Make no mistake about it, Ellison has ties to radical islam. A former member of the Nation of islam, the congressman elect is very liberal and not your average muslim. A judicial "watch blog," Corruption Chronicles, has the low down on Ellison.

This is not good for our country. Not because Ellison is a muslim. Rather, it's his position as a former nation of islam spokesman and his shady past with the radical cult. Ellison's close ties to CAIR, a major contributor to his campaign, is also disturbing. These two organizations are hell bent on the destruction of America and Israel. I wonder if Ellison is an American or a muslim first? Where does he pledge his allegiance . I pray the voters in the gopher state wake up to the anti-America, anti-Israel agenda and remove Ellison in 6 years.

Yes, the lions are at the gate...

Will he be sworn in with a koran?

This was the most disappointing race of the election. I believe the muslim Somali population took this personally and turned out in droves to vote for Ellison.

I wish they would've looked at his position on the issues instead of voting for islam only.

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Too bad.....

I am in a hard working, business owner. I listen to talk radio, watch the news, read the newspapers (PLURAL), scour the internet, and have friends and co-workers from many different backgrounds. This is not an uneducated or ignorant opinion I am offering of what I have seen during this election celebration. I am as informed as they come. AND!!! It is from both sides of the political fence that I derive my information, and then base my opinions on.

I understand all the reasons how the phrase Allahu Akbar is used... I am well aware of this. Like many people though, I now tend to affiliate it first with terrorist acts and activities. It has always been the most profound thing to hear them using the name of God/ Allah while killing, versus using the name of God in prayer. How unfortunate that the "small" group of radicals has ruined it for the rest of the good Muslims out there. Hmmm... I wonder what people would think if a cry of "Jesus Christ Saves" went up during a political speech??? Hmmm... I wonder.

"Allahu Akbar" was the phrase that was used as planes were being run into the World Trade Centers. "Allahu Akbar" was the phrase that was used as American soldier's bodies were being dragged through the streets to be hung up on a bridge, burned and beaten. "Allahu Akbar" was the phrase that was being used as the heads of kidnapping victims were being chopped off. "Allahu Akbar" is also chanted as the crowds cry "Death to America". "Allahu Akbar" was said by Sadaam Hussein as he was being dragged from the courtroom after being sentenced to death. AND "Allahu Akbar" was the phrase that was being chanted as Keith Ellison accepted his victory as Congressman.

Tell me this... If one of the biggest fights of the Democrat party is the separation of church and state, why is there anything religous being uttered during an acceptance speech?

Perhaps it would do a world of good to have more of the Muslim's speak up against the extremists who are making a bad name for the rest of the good in the eyes of the American public. In fact, if there were more outrage from them I would probably not be as affected as I am by this. There has not been much public denunciation of these things, so it disturbs me to the core to hear it during a United States Election.

I wish from the bottom of my core that things were different. I wish that we could all live together, and respect one another. I am thankful EVERY DAY that I live in a country that allows me to have opinions, and not get tortured because of them. *** AMERICA IS TRULY THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE!!!!!!!!!!!******

Can you tell who I am from my views posted here? Am I white, black, asian, latino, middle eastern, carribean? Am I a man, or woman? Am I a republican, a democrat, an independent? Am I a jew, a christian, a muslim, a buddhist, an athiest? Am I rich, poor, or somewhere in between? Am I an American by birth, or an immigrant? You just might be surprised.

Well, judging by how poorly the diatribe was written I'd say they were a white man. A religous man, christian, middle class union worker, democrat. Born in America, but would like America to be more like Europe, because europe is soooo much better than America. He's always looking to get something for nothing. He's a mooch, but not cheap, he's just lacking in funds to live a high on the hog as he'd like to.

Ho close am I?
