CAIR; U.S. Muslim Group Urges Calm
UPDATE Number Two; The Fort Hood jihadi was a member of Obamas Homeland Security Panel. And the morning of the murderous rampage, Hasan had handed out korans. NICE!
H/T Jihad Watch
UPDATE:The imam who vouched for Hasan (describing him as devout) is also a chapter member of the ISNA, another Holy Land Foundation unindicted terror coconspirator. And this from Classical Values.
He attended daily services and signed up for the mosque's matchmaking service.
"He wanted a wife more religious than him," Faizul Khan told the Daily News. "She had to pray five times a day. She had to wear the hajib. He was a young, good looking guy and a physician but he couldn't find anybody."
Khan said he never heard Hasan express any political opinions. But at least once this year, Hasan apparently went online to defend suicide bombing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CAIR was quick to quell any public suspicion tying the Fort Hood murderous shooting rampage, perpetrated by Major Nidal Malik Hasan, to the RoP. By 9pm the unindicted terror coconspirator issued a whine-o-gram press release urging "unity and calm". And in this unprecedented time of anti-islamic bias, CAIR felt the need to include a link to the CAIR Muslim Community Safety Kit.
I want to know who, exactly, needs to remain calm and united. Seems to me the problem, once again, lies within the ummah. If I’m not mistaken, this muslim was the one with the dilemma and acted on it by murdering American servicemen. And the unindicted terror coconspirators are concerned about the safety of the islamic community? Why doesn't the ADL, USCJ or SBC publish a Christian and Jewish community safety guide? Seems to me we're the folks that would benefit from such a pamphlet. Well, I think it’s time to make the case for internment. We just can’t trust muslims living in this country!
(WASHINGTON, D.C., 11/5/09) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) tonight reiterated the Muslim community’s condemnation of today’s deadly shootings at Fort Hood in Texas and urged the nation to remain calm and unified as Americans nationwide react to the tragic events.
At a news conference tonight on Capitol Hill, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:
“We reiterate the American Muslim community’s condemnation of
this cowardly attack. Right now, we call on all Americans to assist those who
are responding to this atrocity. We must ensure that the wounded are treated and
the families of those who were murdered have an opportunity to mourn.
“No political or religious ideology could ever justify or excuse such wanton and
indiscriminate violence. The attack was particularly heinous in that it targeted
our nation’s all-volunteer army that includes thousands of Muslims in all
services. We again offer our thoughts and prayers for the victims and sincere
condolences for the families of those killed or injured.
“The motive of the attacker is not yet known. We urge all Americans to remain calm in reaction to this tragic event and to demonstrate once again what is best about America –
our nation’s ability to remain unified even in times of crisis. We urge national
political and religious leaders and media professionals to set a tone of calm
and unity.
“Unfortunately, based on past experience, we also urge American
Muslims, and those who may be perceived to be Muslim, to take appropriate
precautions to protect themselves, their families and their religious
institutions from possible backlash. (editors note; What backlash are they talking about? CAIR is still waiting for the "backlash" in the wake of 9/11)
“We ask that individuals and institutions review advice on security procedures contained in CAIR’s ‘Muslim Community Safety Kit,’ which is available online at www.cair.com.”
Along with innumerable condemnations of terror, CAIR has in the past launched an online anti-terror petition drive called “Not in the Name of Islam,” initiated a television public service announcement (PSA) campaign against religious extremism and coordinated a “fatwa,” or Islamic religious ruling, against terrorism and extremism.
CAIR is America's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
Judge orders Muslim Mafia documents returned to CAIR
At first glance this may appear (as so many CAIR lawsuits do) as intimidation, a CAIR tactic to silence the opposition. What I find interesting is that the suit says nothing about liable. If CAIR is so concerned about getting these documents, (documents Chris was asked to shred BTW) taped conversations and donor lists returned, why wouldn’t they insist compensation be attached to the suit for damages inflicted by the release of the Muslim Mafia? Surely the donations have trickled and that “explore the quran” campaign has been a flop. I’ve no doubt these masters of spin can convince a judge they’ve been damaged by all the negative publicity.
CAIR calls for an investigation…..
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Muslim Coalition Calls for Probe Into FBI Shooting Death of Mich. Muslim
American Muslim Taskforce on Civil Rights and Elections asks FBI not to link case to Islam
(WASHINGTON, D.C., 10/30/09) - The American Muslim Taskforce on Civil Rights and*Editors Note; I'm sure the evidence linking this "imam" and his merry band of
Elections (AMT), a coalition of major national Islamic organizations, is calling for an independent investigation into the death of Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah, who was shot and killed by the FBI on Wednesday in Detroit during raids in which a number of individuals were arrested on charges unrelated to terrorism.
AMT is also calling on the FBI not to link the raids or the allegations against the suspects to the Islamic faith.
In a statement, the Muslim coalition said: “It is imperative that an independent investigation of Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah’s death make public the exact circumstances in which he died. And unless the FBI has evidence linking the criminal allegations to the religious affiliation of the suspects, we ask that federal authorities stop injecting religion into this case. The unjustified linkage of this case to the faith Islam will only serve to promote an increase in existing anti-Muslim stereotyping and bias in our society.”
AMT is also urging the Congressional Tri-Caucus (Black, Latino, and Asian) to
call
for a judicial inquiry.
In keeping with its charter, AMT works for civil rights of all Americans and plans to hold a series of meetings across the United States, culminating in a civil rights summit in Washington, D.C., to address growing civil and human rights concerns of seven to eight million American Muslims.
*Editors Note; A variable who's who of unindicted coconspirators and members of the "National Support Committee for cop killer imam Jamil" calling for an investigation. Supporting jihadis and other murdering, ex-con, convert scum is part of the ummah creed.
AMT is an umbrella organization that includes American Muslim Alliance (AMA), American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA), MAS-Freedom, Muslim Student Association-National (MSA-N), Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA), and United Muslims of America (UMA). Its observer organizations include American Muslims for Civic Engagement (AMCE), Islamic Educational Council of Orange County (IECOC), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), and Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).
CAIR identifies moles...
“Are you a believer?” asked the participant in a Capitol Hill gathering of Islamophobes and Muslim-bashers who -- according to conference materials -- were seeking to promote “freedom of speech and religion.”
When CAIR’s intern answered, “Yes, of course,” the conference participant -- whose card indicated he works for “Encountering Islam Christian Ministry” and obviously thinking “believer” meant something other than Muslim -- replied, “Good, because we want to cut their [Muslims’] necks off.”
Just one hour later, the officially-registered intern was asked to leave the conference, which was held in the U.S. Congressional Auditorium, because “some of the panel members do not feel comfortable with you being here.”
Playing the perpetual victim is one way to deviate from the real concern. By garnering sympathy for the fictitious offence CAIR transfers focus to the accusers. In this case it’s the muslim “moles” infiltrating the Capitol Hill intern program. Well as fate would have it, CAIR identified two moles “who purchased tickets for the banquet”. Christine Brim "a hijab-clad representative of an anti-Islam group" and "counterterrorism consultant" John Cosgrove, who are in CAIR’s opinion, “notorious Islamophobes with histories of Muslim-bashing and associations with hate groups.”
By pointing out the bias one RoP intern supposedly experienced and then exposing the anti-islam moles in their midst, CAIR expects to end the congressional investigation in its tracks. The editorial is disconnected and doesn’t tackle the issues plaguing CAIR. Awad throws one insult and accusation after another in an attempt to connect the republican congressmen, the Center for Security Policy, P. David Gaubatz and the Nation Federation of Republican Women to this islamophobia machine.
