Batman Fudge Anyone?

I just finished this pan of peanut butter cup fudge for Christopher. He’s coming this weekend and this is his favorite because it tastes just like a Reese Peanut Butter Cup.

I also made a half batch that he can eat while he's here, so he'll be able to take this one home with him. Two of his favorite things, peanut butter cups and Batman!

Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Recipe;

Mix together 1 cup melted butter, 4 cups peanut butter (I use Jif), 5 cups powdered sugar, 1 cup brown sugar and 3 tbs. vanilla. Spread on cookie sheet or cake pan.

Topping;

On low heat, melt 3/4 cup butter and 1 bag of chocolate chips together, then spread over peanut mixture, refrigerate and enjoy!

CAIR protectionist Hooper lied

I’m sure most of you are aware of the media blitz in NYC by ICNA and supported by imam Siraj Wahhaj. Fellow blogger, Dinah Lord has been on top of this issue. The promotion has been dubbed the “terror train” and “allah board” by many, is seen as a slap in the face of America, due to commence days before 9/11/08. The campaign to inundate New Yorkers with the “islam is a religion of peace” message, beckoning the “ummah-curious” to call or visit the websites for more information. This scheme became a reality when NYC mayor and the transit authority OK’ed the plan to place these proselytizing ads on city subway cars.

* (editor's note) Personally, I don’t need a billboard, subway car or bus to research this death cult. I’ve been assessing the RoP global actions for many years, prior to 9/11.

The whine-o-gram issued Thursday included video of CAIR lead muslim protectionist, Ibrahim (Doug) Hooper squaring off with Mike Gallagher. In the clip Hooper starts off by clarifying the FOX anchorman’s statements as to the imams character.

The real controversy stems from another unindicted coconspirator, CAIR’s Ibrahim Hooper and his blatant lie while defending the aforementioned imam. Siraj Wahhaj was, in fact, one of 170 unindicted coconspirators in the ’93 WTC bombing in addition to being a character witness for the “blind sheik” Omar Abdel-Rahman. Hooper, always quick to set the record straight, had better do some fact checking.

Faith-based mutual funds; islam on top

In the wake of what many are calling an economic crisis, the latest issue of Newsweek is singing the praises of islamic mutual funds. An article titled “Islam Bullish in Bear Market”, touches on faith-based mutual funds as a way to beat this down market. However, as the title illustrates, the focus is on islamic funds. Citing Morningstar fund data tracker, islamic funds have grown from 500 million to 17 billion dollars over the last decade. Professing islamic funds the “winner” among the faith-based mutual funds.

Enter the unindicted terror coconspirator, CAIR was “Johnny-on-the-spot” with a late day whine-o-gram promoting this proof-positive data to the superior nature of islam.

The righteous nature of the “riba” sets these sharia compliant funds apart from other mutual funds in the faith based category. By giving or donating 2.5 to 3% of the returns made on these funds a muslim can enjoy the benefits of long term investing, without going to hell. These sharia compliant funds, like CAIR, offer little transparency to an ignorant public. Often time’s radical scholars who advise or manage these funds rely on an uninformed public to transfer money to nefarious charity groups.

Sheik Muhammad Taqi Usmani, DJIM advisor and NAIT board member, for a decade was one such elbow in the terror funnel. Besides his fiery rhetoric, his book “Islam and Modernism” encouraging jihad and subjugation of non-believers, was translated into English in 2006 and came to the attention to Dow Jones. Quietly and swiftly, Dow Jones accepted the imam's resignation and removed all ties to his "imam fund" and NAIT.

These islamic funds need to be highly scrutinized if not outlawed in America.

I'm no Mallott......

but I won’t starve either…..

The aforementioned self described “gardening superman” has been taunting his fellow bloggers for years. Even posting a prideful post last month, entitled "Why My Life is Better Than Yours", exclaiming his superior cooking skills thus making his existence a cut above the rest of us.

We all remember “Man with a Melon” don’t we? All though the post was meant as a spoof, the comments reveal this was an “accidental” melon, I’m not sure I believe that one. The melon was big and perfectly round, it makes one wonder......

The inadvertent garden boasting over the years included posts entitled “Got Carrots?” and a few posts that included tips (here and here) for us gardening imbeciles that may become lost in own plot of Eden, "Make a Tomato Map".

How about his onion harvest and the pictures of his pantry full of canned tomatoes. Anticipating the winter months just so he can twist that Ball canning jar, hear the hiss that says fresh and enjoy the fruits of his labor.

I could go on and on, the archives are full of tips, recipes and pictures of his harvest. Is all of this gardening prowess just Mallott providing a public service or an illustration of self preservation?

Am I a wee bit jealous of the crop yields, variety and knowledge? You bet, especially in the dead of winter and the yearning for fresh produce hits me.

Well, this year I will not be denied.

These are sugar snap peas, and right after I snapped the picture I picked some for our chicken stir fry, ummmm.

And this is the zucchini that accompanied the peas for dinner.

No, I'm no Mallott.... but I was able to capture these beautiful photos with my new Olympus Evolt E-410 digital camera.

John Hagee & CUFI; CAIR action alert target

John Hagee is no stranger to controversy and has seen his share of attacks from the left. Hagee, a long time supporter of the state of Israel, founder of CUFI Christians United for Israel is CAIR's latest action alert target.

“A Night to Honor Israel, 2008” is July 22nd, keynote speakers include Senator Joe Lieberman and Dan Gillerman Israel’s UN ambassador. Representatives Elliot Engel (D-NY) and Mark Pence (R-IN) plan to attend the “Washington–Israel Summit” (July 21-24).

Curtailing the John McCain endorsement rejection, CAIR is calling on the RoP faithful to contact these 3 public servants to distance themselves from Hagee and these Israel supporting events, “and ask them to reject any association with Pastor Hagee or Christians United for Israel (CUFI)”. The supporting documentation CAIR used to incite those ummah fanatics were comprised of NPR and PRA The Public Eye articles and an anti-Hagee campaign from (the self-hating) Jewish Voice for Peace.

The talking points provided by CAIR, in addition to contact information, include;
* Hagee’s divisive rhetoric does not deserve the endorsement of elected officials.

* Senator McCain’s rejection of Hagee earlier this year sets an example for all elected officials. I urge the Congressperson to send the same message of leadership.

This type of attack from CAIR is nothing new to John Hagee, (or Rod Parsley, James Dobson, Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson and Billy Graham for that matter). It does however, enhance our analysis of CAIR’s religious intolerance and bigotry.

Why didn't CAIR help the "Karachi Kids"?

All’s quiet on the CAIR whine-o-gram front. "Karachi Kids", the saga of two Georgia boys who spent four years in a Pakistani madrassa, continues to dominate the news for the past few days, yet not a peep from the self-proclaimed American-muslim civil rights group. I’ve searched the CAIR web-site and came up empty. Not a word. Aren’t these boys part of the ummah? Why isn’t CAIR speaking out, clarifying the obvious need for these boys to enhance their muslim identity in a radical, jihadi producing madrassa?

Where’s Ibrahim Hooper, Nihad Awad or Yusof Burke Georgia’s Executive Director for the unindicted terror co-conspirator? These CAIR talking heads love to opine regardless of the media outlet. You know, we uneducated kafirs don't understand the ways of islam.

Why didn’t democrats Larry Shaw (North Carolina General Assembly), Andre Carson (Indiana congressman) or Keith Ellison (Minnesota congressman) advocate their release? I thought the entire ummah concept was safeguarding the RoP faithful? It took an infidel republican, Michael McCaul from Texas to facilitate their release, decrying the obvious mental abuse and alleged corporal punishment.

What say you CAIR?

Karachi kids; The boys are home!

The Khan brothers have returned home. I hope they receive the intense deprogramming needed to facilitate their restoration to a moral civilization.

Once again Dinah Lord has the latest news on what’s been dubbed the Karachi Kids. There seems to be much more to this story and as details emerge, I (as well as Dinah Lord) find some elements of the account strange.

The assertion, according to Raza (director and executive producer of the documentary), that Fazal Khan was probably unaware of Jamia Binoria's linked to radical groups, that many taliban militants graduated from the school and Osama bin Laden once spoke there.

The well-intentioned and deeply religious father opted for an “unknown” institution half way around the globe because the al-Farooq mosque which runs a reputable islamic school has an elite student body.

The plight of these boys was documented by Imran Raza and their release was championed by Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) citing a Pakistani law that prohibits foreigners from enrolling in madrassas. However, the principal of the school, Mufti Mohammed Naeem, is shown on film saying that 29 nations, including the United States, Britain and France, are represented at his school. He also said his madrassa does not promote hatred or militant activity. Earlier this week McCaul announced Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf assured the Khan brothers would be released. Interestingly, the Khans did not contact the congressman or ask him to intercede on their behalf.

The brothers Khan 4 year exile began when their father grew angry with their habits and once threw the television out of the house. They said their father decided to send them to Pakistan after he discovered dust on their koran, a sign they had failed to pick it up in a while. Noor, the older brother said, "My dad told me, 'I am not bringing you back until you memorize the Quran”, estimating it would take him eight years to master the 600 page text.

At least he didn't strangle them like another Pakistani father from Georgia did last week.

Karachi kids update!

My “Twinster”, Dinah Lord, has an update on the Karachi kids. It looks like the two American boys featured in the documentary will be arriving in Atlanta this afternoon.

This is great news. However, I worry they may be a lost cause, especially in a home that obviously holds radical views.
All we can do at this point is pray for them.

Karachi kids; A must see documentary!

Jamia Binuria, a Pakistani madrassa, where jihadists are made. Karachi kids is the story of 2 American brothers sent to the hell-hole in 2004 to learn the koran. After 4 short years they've become completely brainwashed. The transition is clear, you hear it from the boys themselves.

The latest news from their web-site; the boys will be coming home to America. My fear is they may not revert and continue to hold these jihadist views.

The International Herald Tribune reported June 28 that Pakistan will deport 8 foreign students studying in the Jamia Binuria madrassa.

Two of the students who are to be deported are Americans and are the focus of the Karachi Kids documentary, which films their transformation from American teenagers fighting to leave the Jamia Binuria madrassa, into students who have willingly converted to fundamentalist doctrine taught at the Jamia Binuria.

This document reveals the two Americans, Noor Elahi Khan and Mahboob Elahi Khan, have been blacklisted by the government of Pakistan, and can never legally return to the country.
Pakistan is to be commended for its courage to expell these students, as well as the six others studying at the Jamia Binuria madrassa.

The estimated 500 foreign students at all the Pakistani Madrassa should also be expelled and deported from Pakistan — including the 75 to 80 American children at the Jamia Binuria madrassa.

Noor and Mahboob under go a process of indoctrination, captured on film by the Karachi Kids documentary.

It is soul wrenching and saddening to watch.

Karachi Kids shows why it is essential that the two key elements of Pakistan law be upheld and enforced that can be used to deport these foreign students. First, that all foreign students who have overstayed their visa be forced return to their native country, and secondly, that the edict against foreigners studying in Pakistani madrassas be enforced.

This document may be the start of that process — one which will make the world a much safer place.

I have to give credit where credit is due, "hat tip Dinah Lord" for bringing this story to our attention. How it got past me, I'll never know.
