**** UPDATE, 06/29/08: Tough luck, Muslims. Despite your endless whining, dogs will sniff you, anyway (if the ideological stench doesn't kill 'em). ****
From her post “Which is True-- Weight Watchers No Longer Allowed to Target Fat People . . . Or Explosives-Sniffing Dogs No Longer Allowed to Go Near Muslims?” Schlussel reports on a ridiculous ruling in the UK where the “sniffer dogs” are longer allowed to “sniff” muslims. Because the RoP think dogs are spiritually unclean and themselves special creatures, the UK Transport Department have now given the ummah a pass. Buying into their “religious rights will be violated” nonsense, thus political correctness rules the day.
I don’t need to defend Debbie Schlussel, she is more than capable. She does, after-all, live and work in America’s islamic heartland. Michigan has long been an islamic hotbed. And Debbie Schlussel remains a stalwart defender of American culture, rights and laws. Reporting on the shenanigans perpetrated on behalf of ICE, law makers and state and local authorities that clearly benefit the RoP faithful.

Janice...
Surely you are on the "incitement watch" "short list."
UK... Anyone that "rolls over" for a militant Muslim is an idiot.
And yes... I'm grinding my teeth - you've done it to me again.
One more thing...
The CAIR site quote is, "if the stench doesn't kill them."
Your quote, "if the ideological stench doesn't kill them."
Is CAIR misrepresenting Schlussel?
If they don't like sniffer dogs, the UK can switch to another sniffer animal. I suggest sniffer bees, sniffer wasps, or better yet sniffer rats. Their choice. But they will be sniffed.
I would LOVE to be on their short list, Chris!
I read the DS story when she posted it on 6/29/08 and I really can't say if "ideological" was in her original post. If I had to point the guilty finger it would go towards CAIR. It wouldn't be the first time they misrepresented someone or left key points out of a story.
Killer rats, wasps and bees! I think you may be on to something Skye. I tend to lean towards sniffer pigs, do you think they'll be offended?
I like the pigs, but I think that's too obvious. What I want to know is if they have to choose between sniffer dogs and sniffer rats, which one would be more unclean to them? Would they suddenly decide dogs aren't so bad after all?
Sniffer pigs - now there's an idea whose time has come!
They sniff truffles, don't they?
