Daniels added that, following a request by CAIR’s Los Angeles chapter, a California synagogue that screened a film claiming “confrontation between Islam and the Jews”
Senator Kyl ignored CAIR's offer and Thursdays screening went forward unmolested. Spokesman Ryan Patmintra said Senator Kyl agreed to facilitate the event because "all too often, people who have the courage to point out the dangers of militant Islamists find themselves vilified and endangered".
CAIR was all too happy to include this journalistic gem in their March 2nd agitate-the-ummah whine-o-gram. It seems the only adjectives used to describe groups or individuals meeting with Wilders are “islamophobe”, “far-right-wing” or “neoconservative”.
Geert Wilders tour is being touted by the left as “a highly-publicised trip to meet with politicians, promote his controversial film ‘Fitna’, and raise money for his legal defence back home”. (I didn't correct their spelling errors) This article is so slanted I find it difficult to believe it’s from a credible news agency. Then again, IPS is anything but neutral.
In January Wilders was charged with "incitement to hate and discrimination and insult of Islamic worshippers". Good thing I'm not posting from Eurabia, I'd surely be thrown in the joint. Pressure from numerous islamic groups forced the Appeal Court in Amsterdam to overturn an earlier decision by the Dutch Prosecutor's Office. "In a democratic system, hate speech is considered so serious that it is in the general interest to... draw a clear line," the court in Amsterdam said.
Wilders responded saying the judgement was an "attack on the freedom of expression". And "Participation in the public debate has become a dangerous activity. If you give your opinion, you risk being prosecuted. Who will stand up for our culture if I am silenced?"
CAIR and other islamic groups in America advocate free speech, with a caveat; the speech must be what they deem responsible. The koran, their prophet, culture and the ummah as a whole are off limits. Any critique of islam is considered an insult and hateful.

OMG - Miss J. It happened again. I went to hit the preview button and got an error message saying I had completed a 'duplicate action' and my comment vanished someplace in the ether. Grr.
Now, I'll give you the short version of the missing comment.
CAIR can get bent. They won't shut me up!
I've been having problems myself. Two posts went completely blank, poof, nothing.... I'm taking it as a sign.
Yes, CAIR needs to be stopped!
Someone ask cair why it is that a Bible can't be brought into Saudi - why there is no freedom to believe whatever it is you want - and yet, "[cair] and other islamic groups in America advocate free speech, with a caveat; the speech must be what they deem responsible. The koran, their prophet, culture and the ummah as a whole are off limits. Any critique of islam is considered an insult and hateful." No. There can be no giving in.
