AAH; "We're watching you Ellison"

Joe Kaufman and AAH met with Ron Klein (D-Florida) last week to ask for the removal of Keith Ellison (D-Minnesota) as a member of the Congressional Task Force on Anti-Semitism (CTFAS).

Armed with materials showing Ellison to be unfit to sit on the committee, Kaufman and his staff reviewed "documentation proving direct contact between Ellison and radical Muslim organizations, which included the Muslim American Society (MAS) and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Both MAS and CAIR had recently been named by the U.S. government as being part of the Muslim Brotherhood, and CAIR had been linked by the FBI to Hamas." with the congressman and his staff. Hopes were high and Klein was receptive to the presentation.

Yesterday Mira Kogen, the Legislative Director from U.S. Representative Ron Klein’s Washington, D.C. office, informed AAH that the congressman (Klein) will not be removing Ellison from the task force. According to Kogen, Klein confronted Ellison regarding the info Kaufman presented and true to the islamic al-taqiyya code, Ellison said he had “publicly denounced” and would continue to publicly denounce the anti-Semitism from the groups (MAS and CAIR).

Well, that was good enough for Klein. But it’s not good enough for me or AAH. Joe Kaufman points out that, to its knowledge, never has Keith Ellison publicly denounced any of the organizations in question. In fact, “Ellison has praised the groups and has spoken on a number of occasions at the groups’ conferences. Last May, Ellison was the keynote speaker at an event sponsored by the Minnesota chapter of MAS.”

I don’t see this as a defeat for AAH and CAIR Watch, it puts Ellison on notice. The materials supplied by Kaufman will arm the task force and question any nefarious moves by Ellison.

If you feel compelled to weigh in on this issue, shoot an email off to congressman Klein.

Keep up the watch Joe…..

There was a time in our nation's history when a Congressman would avoid association with someone who fraternized with anti-American and anti-semitic organizations.

Then again, there was a time when that someone would never have been elected to Congress.

I know Mike Pence (R,IND) co-chairs the task force. Is he only in charge of the Republican members?

Another informative post... And I learned a new word - al Taqiyya.

Chris, Pence is on the task force and I'm sure he and everyone else will have access to the info Kaufman presented.

You're right, it's sad that (guilt by) association isn't enough for those who represent us to distance themselve from the likes of CAIR and MAS.

Chris,

I understand that the Congressional committee members for either party are selected by that party's leadership only. So, no, Mike Pence would have no say over a Democrat's membership on the task force.

And keep in mind that it took major media attention and uproar to finally get William "Cold Cash" Jefferson removed from his committee membership. The Democrats coddle their own--even the worst of them. So it's no surprise that, without broad-based outrage over Ellison's being on the committee, the Dems will do nothing.

I had no idea that Ellison had infiltrated the CTFAS but then again, I had no idea that there even was such a thing. This is beyond disturbing.

And have you heard anything that Keith Ellison has said that publicly denounces anti-Semitism from MAS, CAIR or the rest of the Islamonutjobs running around spewing their hate.

(Meanwhile, the useful idiot dems just stick their fingers in their ears and sing la-la-la.)

I will definitely be firing up the anti taqiyyah letter writing machine this afternoon, Miss Janice.

Thank you for this.
