The 1300 foot long trench is being dug using heavy equipment unearthing what appear to be the carved walls of the Second Temple. Under the supervision of the islamic wakf (also spelled waqf) and the approval of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Israeli soldiers can only stand by and watch, powerless to stop the desecration of this holy site.
Rabbi Chaim Richman, International Director of the Temple Institute, claims the wakf is intentionally digging in areas where "undoubtedly the Temple once stood." and "For the first time since the Temple's destruction, a section of the Temple Wall itself has been exposed,".
Despite the historical and archaeological evidence, muslims have continually denied the existence of any Jewish Temple. Attempts to examine the unearthed ruins have been stopped (by the islamic wakf and Israeli officials) and will most likely have to be sifted through once they've been deposited in the dump reminiscent of the 1997 construction of a massive mosque at an area referred to as Solomon's Stables. Lamps, coins and a marble pillar shaft were among the scores of relics recovered from truckloads of dirt and Jewish artifacts disposed of by the wakf from the First and Second Temple periods.
Trying to erase Jewish claim to the mount coupled with their mission to eliminate Israel itself seems to be all too consuming for the religion of peace.

Ugh! I'm so frustrated with Olmert and all his ilk. Why do Israelis keep electing suicidal leaders who do more for the Palestinian terrorists than they do for their own citizens?
