Yes, it’s true. The “old man” tried to embarrass me, Skye Puppy and to a lesser degree, Christina. And he had the nerve to praise Bekah in the same post. Why you ask? Well we haven’t been a source of enlightenment, news and entertainment. We’ve been neglecting our blog duties, and in my case, it’s true. Chris admittedly has nothing to contribute to the blog-o-sphere so he chooses to attack others. That’s alright, my shoulders are broad and I can take it.

So in an effort to salvage my reputation I’m posting a pictorial, since Bekah loves pictures. Topic; the vein of my new existence, inclement weather commuting in what I affectionately call the "C-bus".

Here we see a fellow commuter who almost rear-ended me. That or he was driving on the soft-shoulder just to say hello.

Yes, Columbus has plenty of heavy rescue vehicles but very few plows and salt trucks.

And we see why so many heavy rescue vehicles are needed......

Work is consuming much of my time these days and I either find myself reading blogs or attempting to compose one of my own. You have no idea how many are sitting in my queue unfinished and irrelevant at this time.

In other news, CAIR-LA wants the charges leveled against 11 students dropped after they ~~protested~~ disrupted a speech given by Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren. Of course CAIR believes their religion caused these muslims to be detained. Check out the video of these asses. Yep, these muslims have a lot of class..... morons.

CAIR’s Nihad Awad submitted an islam op-ed to the PR Newswire. It seems the unindicted terror co-conspirators are concerned about RoP faithful being singled out for extra scrutiny at the airport.

Pointing to the last time an infidel blew-up a building, Awad plays the Tim McVeigh card saying; “In 1995, after bombing the Alfred P. Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City, Timothy McVeigh was able to flee while officers operated on the false theory that “Arab terrorists” had committed the attack.”

While I disagree with the good chairman’s position, Awad concludes by offering alternatives to strip searching the ummah before boarding a plane. The most effective being behavior analysis. El Al and the State of Israel have employed this tactic and have been successful in keeping the airways safe. Undercover agents and manned cameras combing the airport for would-be terrorists would be an effective addition to the TSA. I, for one, love to people watch and would jump at the chance to ~~profile~~ look for suspicious behavior.

CAIR and the ummah help the FBI

Hand-shakes and back-slaps all around CAIR’s Washington DC office. A media advisory whine-o-gram was issued on Wednesday announcing the unindicted terror coconspirator press conference regarding the missing muslim “yutes”. CAIR used this as a springboard to illustrate their patriotism, pointing to their cooperation with law enforcement and the FBI specifically.

I have quite a few thoughts on this “dog and pony show” CAIR, MAS, MPAC and imam Jahori abdul-Malik put on for the press. The families are called “courageous” for coming forward to report their missing “yutes”, the same suspects arrested in Pakistan on terror charges. Prior to the arrests, CAIR helped obtain legal counsel for these families while working with the FBI, to preserve their civil rights. This turned out to be an opportunity for CAIR to appear cooperative by a mere phone call to authorities. Nihad Awad has viewed the video and was “disturbed” by its content. Awad goes on to admit “problems” exist in the ummah and announced a major campaign to refute the misuse of koran verses and certain "grievances" in the muslim world. This campaign, of course, involves education. No details were given on what this would encompass or who is involved in teaching the new islamic world view to muslims residing in America.

In closing, these muslim leaders called for tolerance and not to rush to judgment. Citing the “cottage industry” who’ll seek to exploit this case and marginalize muslims. It seems to me, the ummah needs no help in perpetuating the bad PR around the world.

5 DC area muslim men missing

"Federal investigators are searching for a Howard University dental student and four other missing Muslim men reported missing from the Washington, D.C. area, the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) has learned. There is concern they may have been sent abroad to train for jihad. The five were last seen November 29.

The identities of two of the missing men, Howard student Ramy Zamzam and Waqar Khan, have been mentioned in online postings, including a Facebook page that was set up Monday for friends to offer their support. Some of those pages, however, appear restricted to friends and associates.
It is not clear where the men are believed to have gone, but an informed source told the IPT that at least one left behind a farewell video."

Oh, this is rich! The unindicted terror coconspirators have an islam-oped comparing Thanksgiving to Eid al-Adha. Nihad Awad is having the resident spin-doctor, Ibrahim Hopper; pedal this garbage to the uninformed hoping to shine a gentler light on the RoP.

For CAIR to compare the festival of sacrifice to Thanksgiving is beyond hubris. For the record, Abraham wasn’t asked to sacrifice Ishmael as is islamic tradition.

Using the pay-to-play news service, Hopper submitted Awad’s work hoping to have it hit the editorial pages just in time for Thanksgiving. The comparison ends with the relative coincidence that the two dates share proximity. While 97% of Americans will be feasting this Thursday, muslims will be fasting.

This from Awad; On Friday, Muslims in America and worldwide will celebrate the holiday of Eid al-Adha, or "festival of the sacrifice." "Eid" also commemorates the Prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael at God's command. The holiday is celebrated with prayers, gifts for children, distribution of meat to the needy, and social gatherings. You may hear the greeting "Eid Mubarak," or "have a blessed holiday."

And you know Thanksgiving and Eid al-Adha are now sharing the same spiritual and social space when Best Buy, for the first time, puts a "Happy Eid Al-Adha" in its "Black Friday" newspaper insert. (BTW, Janice will never, ever patronize Best Buy again)

As with Thanksgiving, Eid al-Adha is a time when everyone counts their blessings and offers thanks for friends and family, even if circumstances may not be the best in any particular year.

Wow, it’s been a whirlwind of activity for me and I’m here to tell you what’s transpired.

First, I’ve been actively seeking employment for past month. The part-time gig I had wasn’t challenging and I felt my talents were being exploited and wasted. Double digit unemployment here in the Buckeye state and I was able to secure a position with a pharmaceutical company. I start on Monday.

Secondly, Nick and I planned to attend the Rifqa Bary rally this past Monday. The banner announcing the event was posted on my site for a while and we were going to go out and support this young girl. However, on Thursday evening I was called to South Carolina. I left Friday morning and didn’t return until Wednesday.

Then as fate would have it, my plans to arrive early at the Sawmill Borders for a wristband securing my place in line for Friday’s Sarah Palin book signing didn’t happen either. I was asked to report to a “work health” center for a pre-employment drug screening. Who thought it would’ve taken 2 hours. Not me, so I missed out on one of the 1000 wristbands.

So that’s what I’ve been doing.

CAIR, ISNA and others trying to save face

Yesterday’s whine-o-gram was all about saving the reputation of CAIR, ISNA and the Dar al Hijrah islamic center. Anwar al Awlaki, a former Denver, San Diego and Falls Church imam, praised the Fort Hood jihadi while criticizing those muslim groups who ~~paid lip service~~ offered their condolences to the victims and condemned Nidal.

From the relative safety of Yemen, Anwar al Awlaki posted the following on his website (disabled overnight);

“Nidal Hassan is a hero. He is a man of conscience who could not bear living the
contradiction of being a Muslim and serving in an army that is fighting against his own
people. This is a contradiction that many Muslims brush aside and just pretend that it
doesn’t exist. Any decent Muslim cannot live, understanding properly his duties towards
his Creator and his fellow Muslims, and yet serve as a US soldier. The US is leading the
war against terrorism which in reality is a war against Islam. Its army is directly invading
two Muslim countries and indirectly occupying the rest through its stooges.”

“Nidal opened fire on soldiers who were on their way to be deployed to Iraq and
Afghanistan. How can there be any dispute about the virtue of what he has done? In
fact the only way a Muslim could Islamically justify serving as a soldier in the US army is if
his intention is to follow the footsteps of men like Nidal.”

“The heroic act of brother Nidal also shows the dilemma of the Muslim American
community. Increasingly they are being cornered into taking stances that would either
make them betray Islam or betray their nation. Many amongst them are choosing the
former. The Muslim organizations in America came out in a pitiful chorus condemning
Nidal’s operation.”

“The fact that fighting against the US army is an Islamic duty today cannot be disputed.
No scholar with a grain of Islamic knowledge can defy the clear cut proofs that Muslims
today have the right - rather the duty - to fight against American tyranny. Nidal has killed
soldiers who were about to be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in order to kill Muslims.
The American Muslims who condemned his actions have committed treason against the
Muslim Ummah and have fallen into hypocrisy.”

punishment - Those who take disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do they seek

general reveals the wisdom behind the opinions that call for migration from the West. It
is becoming more and more difficult to hold on to Islam in an environment that is

Now we know how thin-skinned the ummah is and having a critique like this from an imam must be devastating to their already low self-esteem. But the responses are NOT aimed at the praise the former Dar al-Hijrah mosque imam bestowed upon brother Nidal. No, these muslims felt the need to defend their honor and refute the scurrilous hypocrisy accusation. And they do it by attacking his character and distancing themselves from any connection they may have had with the imam.

"As we understand the teaching of the scriptures, our mission and method as Americans of faith is to enrich our society with service, wisdom and beautiful preaching of God's love and mercy to all of mankind.

"We openly denounce the statement of Mr. Al-Awlaki as posted on his website. During Mr. Al-Awlaki's short employment at our center, his public speech was consistent with the values of tolerance and cooperation. After returning to Yemen, Mr. Awlaki now claims that the American Muslims who have condemned the violent acts of Major Hasan have 'committed treason against the Muslim Umaah [community] and have fallen into hypocrisy.'

"With this reversal, Mr. Al-Awlaki has clearly set himself apart from Muslims in America. We continue to send our condolences and prayers for recovery of all the victims of this godless act."

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today repudiated online remarks by a former Virginia imam praising Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who allegedly killed 13 people and wounded 29 others in a shooting spree last week at Fort Hood in Texas.

The posting on the web site of Anwar al-Awlaki called Hasan a “hero” and said American Muslim groups, like CAIR, that condemned the Fort Hood attack are “hypocrites” and traitors to Islam.

He attended daily services and signed up for the mosque's matchmaking service.

"He wanted a wife more religious than him," Faizul Khan told the Daily News. "She had to pray five times a day. She had to wear the hajib. He was a young, good looking guy and a physician but he couldn't find anybody."

Khan said he never heard Hasan express any political opinions. But at least once this year, Hasan apparently went online to defend suicide bombing.

CAIR was quick to quell any public suspicion tying the Fort Hood murderous shooting rampage, perpetrated by Major Nidal Malik Hasan, to the RoP. I want to know who, exactly, needs to remain calm and united. Seems to me the problem, once again, lies within the ummah. If I’m not mistaken, this muslim was the one with the dilemma and acted on it by murdering American servicemen. And the unindicted terror coconspirators are concerned about the safety of the islamic community? Why doesn't the ADL, USCJ or SBC publish a Christian and Jewish community safety guide? Seems to me we're the folks that would benefit from such a pamphlet. Well, I think it’s time to make the case for internment. We just can’t trust muslims living in this country!

Judge orders Muslim Mafia documents returned to CAIR

The jihadi sympathizing judge, Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, has ordered the documents procured by Chris Gaubatz when he worked as a CAIR intern be returned to the muslim civil rights group. In a lawsuit filed October 29, 2009 in DC district court, CAIR is seeking redress for the stolen property and the recordings of meeting and conversations. The suit “alleges conversion, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, trespass, and violation of the Electronic Communications Privacy Act.” Chris Gaubatz signed a contract when he became an intern for the unindicted terror coconspirators, even though CAIR has not been able to produce the contract.

At first glance this may appear (as so many CAIR lawsuits do) as intimidation, a CAIR tactic to silence the opposition. What I find interesting is that the suit says nothing about liable. If CAIR is so concerned about getting these documents, (documents Chris was asked to shred BTW) taped conversations and donor lists returned, why wouldn’t they insist compensation be attached to the suit for damages inflicted by the release of the Muslim Mafia? Surely the donations have trickled and that “explore the quran” campaign has been a flop. I’ve no doubt these masters of spin can convince a judge they’ve been damaged by all the negative publicity.

Noor Almaleki is dead.....

Two weeks after her father ran her down in a parking lot with his Jeep. Faleh Hassan Almaleki was upset that his daughter, Noor, was becoming "too westernized". And, islamic family values would dictate, an honor killing would be in order. "By his own admission, this was an intentional act and the reason was that his daughter had brought shame on him and his family,” And, “This was an attempt at an honor killing.”

CAIR identifies moles...

CAIR’s Nihad Awad penned an op-ed in response to the growing congressional scrutiny when four republican representatives asked the House Sergeant at Arms to investigate the muslim civil rights organization. In typical CAIR fashion the op-ed was an attack piece drawing the readers away from the real issue. Awad recounts an incident involving a CAIR intern and a group of "islam-bashers" on Capitol Hill.

“Are you a believer?” asked the participant in a Capitol Hill gathering of Islamophobes and Muslim-bashers who -- according to conference materials -- were seeking to promote “freedom of speech and religion.”
When CAIR’s intern answered, “Yes, of course,” the conference participant -- whose card indicated he works for “Encountering Islam Christian Ministry” and obviously thinking “believer” meant something other than Muslim -- replied, “Good, because we want to cut their [Muslims’] necks off.”
Just one hour later, the officially-registered intern was asked to leave the conference, which was held in the U.S. Congressional Auditorium, because “some of the panel members do not feel comfortable with you being here.”

Playing the perpetual victim is one way to deviate from the real concern. By garnering sympathy for the fictitious offence CAIR transfers focus to the accusers. In this case it’s the muslim “moles” infiltrating the Capitol Hill intern program. Well as fate would have it, CAIR identified two moles “who purchased tickets for the banquet”. Christine Brim "a hijab-clad representative of an anti-Islam group" and "counterterrorism consultant" John Cosgrove, who are in CAIR’s opinion, “notorious Islamophobes with histories of Muslim-bashing and associations with hate groups.”

By pointing out the bias one RoP intern supposedly experienced and then exposing the anti-islam moles in their midst, CAIR expects to end the congressional investigation in its tracks. The editorial is disconnected and doesn’t tackle the issues plaguing CAIR. Awad throws one insult and accusation after another in an attempt to connect the republican congressmen, the Center for Security Policy, P. David Gaubatz and the Nation Federation of Republican Women to this islamophobia machine.

During the past week I’ve been inundated with CAIR banquet whine-o-grams. Everything from bribing me with a free koran and reminding me that “past dinners have been sold out events and tickets may be unavailable if you don’t reserve yours today”, to announcing the all-star islamo-apologist lineup of speakers planning to attend this year.

Those slated to grace the muslim mafia with their presence; Jesse “Hymietown” Jackson, Paul “dare to speak out ~~against Israel~~” Findley, Imam Mahdi Bray and 1993 WTC bombing unindicted coconspirator imam Siraj Wahhaj. What a stellar cast of anti-American, anti-Israel, race hustlers and jihad supporters. But it gets even better. The latest “celebrity” planning to perform at the 15th annual terror funding fest CAIR Banquet is comedian Ahmed Ahmed.

Yes, if this doesn’t compel one to purchase a family table for $1000.00 I don’t know what would!

Well, you knew this was coming down the pike. With the release of Muslim Mafia and a call by 4 congressmen to investigate, CAIR pulls out the victim card. Ibrahim Hooper, CAIR communications director, tells The Hill of a “death threat” fax received at their DC headquarters. The fax had a picture of a gallows with this quote; 'Muslim Neanderthal Dougie Hooper (AKA Ibrahim Hooper) will be soon hanged for treason against the United States’.

Now I have a problem with this whole fax death threat. I’ve been following CAIR for a while and if this had a shred of veracity CAIR would have the FBI on the case in a New York minute. I would like to know why The Hill didn’t ask to see the death fax. Second, this is bigger news than the “throw the imams from the plane” case and it's not being reported. Strange, don't you think?

A quick google search yields ONE news source reporting this story. Now, to be honest, PR Newswire is also reporting on the threat and links to a copy of the dreaded fax. PR Newswire is the pay-to-play media marketing distributor CAIR often uses to get the word out with the hope it’ll be picked up by real news outlets.

Donning the cloak of victimhood is a CAIR trademark. From intimidating dissenting authors, religious leaders, government officials, books, talk show hosts, pundits, corporations and former muslims to soliciting the ummah for the smallest slight to boost their islamophobia annual report, the tactic is the same. Islam is under attack and muslims are being denied the special rights CAIR is so diligently fighting to obtain. In this case CAIR turns the tables to deflect interest in the real issue, the undeniable evidence pointing to a nefarious agenda.

Commenter, jojomellon, left a lengthy remark on my “I survived…..” post. First of all I would like to thank him for taking the time to comment and for his continued patronage to Nuggets of News.

The gracious jojomellon questioned the sincerity of my dilemma, citing passages from the book of Deuteronomy, claiming I “pick and pull only the parts of the bible that you want to follow…” I’m sure, given the time, jojomellon could have listed many more laws in the Old Testament we Christians (and many Jews), no longer follow.

And, if jojomellon is who I think he is, then he knows exactly why we don’t obey these laws. If he doesn’t, then that could only mean one thing, he didn’t pay attention in Theology class. But, for the sake of argument, I’ll suppose jojomellon is truly anonymous and explain the simplicity of my faith. Christ Jesus has fulfilled many of the Mosaic Laws. Those laws that pointed forward to the coming of the Messiah - and once He came, they were no longer needed. The same way we no longer need animal sacrifices by the Temple Priests to atone for our sins.

Does this mean we don’t have to obey ANY of the laws of Moses? Obviously not. Those laws teach us how seriously God regards sin and what it cost Him to make our salvation possible.

Answering the question why I don’t support gay marriage is quite simple. I believe it’s a sin and, if allowed to become main-stream, will cause a greater moral decay.

CAIR ridicules muslim spy claim

Today’s whine-o-gram contains an article from Politico where 4 republican congressmen {John Shadegg (Ariz.), Paul Broun (Ga.), Trent Franks (Ariz.) and Sue Myrick (N.C.)} "formally asked the House Sergeant at Arms to launch an investigation of the Center for (Council on) American-Islamic Relations. They accused CAIR, a non profit group, of trying to infiltrate Capitol Hill with interns and staffers."

In true CAIR fashion the character assassination began at once targeting the author of "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld that's Conspiring to Islamize America," Dave Gaubatz a former federal agent. Here's what the practioners of the RoP have to say about Gaubatz;

Along with his past rhetorical attacks on
CAIR, Dave Gaubatz has called President Obama a “crack head” and wrote that “a
vote for Hussein Obama is a vote for Sharia Law.”

He has defamed Islam’s Prophet Muhammad,
calling him a “loser” and writing that the “prophet will look at my dog and kiss
him.” In a post on the blog of a Muslim critic, the hate blogger wrote: “I
recommend to my friends and others to watch my dog lead the prayer services [at
a Washington-area mosque].”

The hate blogger has also called Islam a
“terminal disease that once spread is hard to destroy.”

CAIR noted that the blogger is a former
employee of the racist group Society of Americans for National Existence (SANE).
On its now members-only website, SANE offered a policy proposal that would make
it illegal to be a Muslim: “Whereas, adherence to Islam as a Muslim is prima
facie evidence of an act in support of the overthrow of the US. [sic] Government
through the abrogation, destruction, or violation of the US Constitution and the
imposition of Shari’a on the American People…It shall be a felony punishable by
20 years in prison to knowingly act in furtherance of, or to support the,
adherence to Islam.”

In explaining why he seeks to infiltrate
mosques and Islamic institutions nationwide, the hate blogger who targeted CAIR
wrote on the SANE web site: ‘…the real answer to Why is the fact that in this
country, our government and its myriad of agencies and bureaucracies have
determined that a priori Islam itself is NOT the evil ideology it in fact
is.”

SANE’s web site once contained the following
white supremacist language as part of its mission statement: “America is a
unique people bound together through a commitment to America’s Judeo-Christian
moral foundation and to an enduring faith and trust in G-d and in His
Providence…America was the handiwork of faithful Christians, mostly men, and
almost entirely white, who ventured from Europe to create a nation in their
image of a country existing as free men under G-d.”

Other articles on the SANE website made
other racist statements that questioned the right of African-Americans and women
to vote: “There is a reason the founding fathers did not give women or black
slaves the right to vote,’ and ‘Race matters and affects your intelligence. Jews
are the smartest white people around. Orientals smarter than Whites. Latinos
next. Then Blacks.”

Another SANE article stated: “Is there
something unique about the Black American (or, at least the Black New Yorker)
that leads him to murder so disproportionately and to most often kill and
victimize his own?”

I think CAIR is all jacked up because Gaubatz personally served Nihad Awad the subpoena at CAIR's 2008 banquet.

The congressmen’s concerns are not without merit, in a strategy document obtained by Politico; CAIR’s own agenda is laid out in black and white. “We will develop national initiatives such as lobby day and placing muslim interns in Congressional offices.”

Yesterday’s whine-o-gram highlights the plight of New York City muslims after suspected terrorist, Najibullah Zazi, was arrested in Colorado. Community activists gathered on Saturday to accuse the FBI and NYPD of racial profiling.

Several people speaking Saturday afternoon at a news conference cautioned authorities against profiling Muslims in their probe of an alleged bomb plot with links to Al Qaeda.

The suspect, Najibullah Zazi, an Afghan immigrant who worked in Denver and New York City, is being held without bond in New York. The friend, Naiz Khan, (And here’s the money quote) befriended Zazi 10 years ago at a mosque.

What I find amazing is how these RoP faithful refuse to recognize the malignancy in their community. Racial or religious profiling is not the problem; the problem exists in the ummah. Self-policing seems to be non-existent especially when the imam lets the suspect know he’s wanted by the FEDS. So much for that whole inclusion and good neighbor concept.

When CAIR calls the local police or FBI office because a mosque window has been broken or graffiti is sprayed on the outside of the building, then it’s advantageous for increased surveillance. It’s immediately called a hate crime and demands are made to involve the FBI. But keep those Geiger counters and bomb sniffing dogs away from our houses of worship. And don’t you even think of secondary security screening when a nervous, middle-eastern male between the age of 18 and 40 tries to board a plane. That’s racial profiling, just because 19 of their coreligionists murdered 3000 Americans and many more abroad is no reason to single out an entire religion. Certainly not the religion of peace.

CAIR; Getting Desperate

The 15th annual, unindicted terror coconspirators, CAIR banquet is scheduled for October 24th in Arlington Virginia. I just received an email informing the faithful if they register online by October 9th, they’ll receive a FREE koran.

The “share the quran” promo CAIR launched earlier this summer isn't working as well as they had planned. It appears many of those korans are still sitting in the DC warehouse. A quick glance at the CAIR website dedicated to the project shows little progress. Back in mid-August I posted a screen-shot of the donations, seven weeks later the unindicted terror coconspirators were only able to raise an additional $10,000.00 to distribute those warehoused korans to public officials.

This whine-o-gram leads me to believe not only are project donations down, additionally the banquet attendee response must be low as well. If you need an incentive to bring out your supporters, it tells me something is amiss among the organization. And a side note, those who take the koran bait will receive their holy book at the event.

Also, if you look at the monthly donations (upper right hand corner of the home page) you’ll see those are down as well. Maybe muslims in America realize they have it pretty damn good here and don’t want CAIR screwing it up.

Well, I survived the “reception” yesterday and I have a few observations.
I am not a homophobe, I am tolerant and attending did not compromise my values.

It was with much trepidation I attended the “same-sex” reception on Saturday, and while I was not uncomfortable, I was not alone in my views. When the happy couple made speeches Nick and I were not the only ones NOT applauding their commitment. I also noticed many offered “best wishes” as opposed to “congratulations” in the receiving line.

The atmosphere was more birthday party-esque with assigned family seating. We did enjoy ourselves, which had more to do with the company we kept than the event itself. Those folks I had no interest in getting to know better were still the obnoxious blowhards I’d avoided at past company and private functions. The couple was gracious, and at the same time, displayed a vitriolic self-assurance in the eventual recognition of their union in the State of Ohio.

Lessons learned; I can be tolerant and respectful without compromising my morals, faith and values. I am NOT alone. We found many like-minded folks in attendance. Militant liberals have an agenda and social conservatives are much more tolerant and charitable. Again, these are only my observations and not a scientific study. I didn’t try to impose my beliefs on other attendees, but the same could not be said of the opposition.

Am I a better person for my respectful attendance? I don’t know, anyone who knows me will tell you I don't think all that highly of myself to begin with. I’m human, a sinner and fall short of Our Lords grace. While I was able to see people as individuals and not part of a group or an exploitative special interest, something in the back of my mind continued to bother me. Could my mere attendance be misconstrued and infer acceptance?

Blog Fodder; A personal dilemma

It’s been a very busy 4 weeks. What have I been up to? Well, two trips to South Carolina, a visit from my brother and sister-in-law, Christopher was in yet another car accident and a weekend visit from my niece and her fiancé. Now it appears we won’t have a free weekend until November.

Tomorrow, Nick and I will be attending a “reception” for one of his coworkers. October 10th we will travel to Cleveland for a family wedding. And various work commitments Nick has to perform the last two weekends of the month ensure minimal down time.

The event we’re attending tomorrow is something I’ve been struggling with for about two months. You see, it’s a same-sex couple. Over the summer they were “married” in another state where it is legal and recognized.

While looking for wedding cards for our family member I came across a plethora of civil union and same-sex wedding cards. Columbus has a sizable gay community so I wasn’t all that shocked to see them stocked between the birthday and sympathy card section. However, I couldn’t bring myself to purchase one. I left with 2 wedding cards, one from Nick and me and one for Christopher (incase he forgets). A gift card in a small gift bag with an inscription on the tag; “Best Wishes, Nick and Janice” should suffice. It’s the best I could muster and at the same time I feel like a hypocrite.

I just traveled 555 miles to “celebrate” my best friend’s 40th birthday. Like I’ve stated before, we are polar opposites on many issues and I don’t condone a lot of her actions. I’ve confronted her, as she has done to me, regarding questionable deeds clearly outside our character. Yet we’ve never questioned our lifestyle choices.

I suppose I’m trying to reconcile the character of this couple and their lifestyle. Like my best friend, we differ on many issues. On the other hand I have found them to be hospitable, friendly and decent people. In spite of that I still can’t rejoice, honor or venerate their union.

If President Barack Hussein Obama (it’s OK, we can use his middle name now) was going to destroy this country, what would he do differently?

Here’s a small sampling of the issues I’ve been thinking about the past two weeks.

The apparent weakness of this administration has empowered the “sleeper cells” and "jihadi wannabes" in this country over the last month. The inability to identify evil and how to kill it has left “Pat” and DHS sitting on their hands while the FBI do the real work of keeping this nation safe. We have to be right 100% of the time, the enemy only has to succeed once. At least CAIR has been silent on defending these terrorists.

The abandonment of our allies for the adoration of dictators seems to be a fair trade. Appeasing the islamo-nut-bag, who’s hell-bent on “wiping Israel off the map” and ushering in the mahdi so we can all live under an islamic caliphate. Nice… And the impostor-in-chief continues to utilize Kramer vs. Kramer chocolate chip ice cream diplomacy. Keep drawing that line in the sand, Barry, I don’t think Iran will cross it this time!

They own most of our debt and have recently announced their military power is on equal footing with the west; New York City will honor, aka celebrate, communist China on their 60th anniversary and illuminate the Empire State Building in red and yellow. Where’s Richard Gere?

STATS: The first road trip in the Vette was awesome and uneventful. I drove 555 miles on ONE tank of gas and pulled into Gennie’s driveway after traveling for 6 hours and 50 minutes. My average speed was 85 MPH and I averaged 30 miles to the gallon.

OBSERVATIONS; Folks in West Virginia need to work on their driving etiquette. When you see a fast blue object approaching from behind move to the right. I’m just sayin’.

Drivers in Virginia have to learn how to use the HOV lane. Especially mothers in mini-vans with a bunch of kids. I used the HOV lane accidentally since I always drive in the far left lane.

Those of you from North Carolina should realize I-77 is NOT Charlotte Motor Speedway. I don’t mind traveling 15 miles above the speed limit with “ya’ll”, but I draw the line at passing on the right, changing 3 lanes at one time and using the shoulder to go around cars already traveling 95mph.

South Carolina drivers are much more relaxed with West Virginia manners.

As is customary when Gennie and I get together, sleep was virtually nonexistent. Gennie, Megan and I caught up until Eric came home from work and we had dinner. Later that evening Gennie’s girlfriend called to see if "the best friend from Ohio” had arrived and came over to meet me. Brenda and I were born on the same day (January 8th) and could have been separated at birth. We hit it off right away and I can see why Gennie and Brenda are such great friends.

Once Eric and Megan went to bed the 3 of us chatted until 2am. After Brenda left Gennie and I changed clothes and went to relax in the hot tub. We didn’t get to bed until 5:30 Wednesday morning just in time to get Megan up for school. We didn’t nap very long; I got up at 8:30 and Gennie at 9.

Wednesday afternoon we met Eric for lunch and then we were off to do some shopping. Later that evening we met Brenda and her husband Aaron for drinks and I was introduced to a few acquaintances who all claimed were so happy to finally meet me after hearing so much about me. I am humbled by (and undeserving of) the high regard in which I’m held by my friend. It was an early night and we retired around 3am.

Thursday was Gennie’s actual birthday and a group of us girls went to dinner. (Brenda is sitting to my right and Gennie is across from me)

The birthday card I gave her that night said something to the effect of "I wanted male strippers not nail clippers for my birthday", with a group of elderly women clipping their nails.

The gift bag contained a dozen nail clippers for Gennie to pass out to us girls, to which I applied a sticker saying “Gennie Turns the BIG 4-OH” with the date. Everyone thought it was a great party favor idea. After dinner we dropped Megan off at home and met up with the girls at a local watering hole to continue the party. Nick, Eric and Aaron arrived later. This would be another late, hot tub night for Gennie and me. We went to bed around 5am.

On Friday evening the 6 of us (Aaron and Brenda, Eric and Gennie, me and Nick) went out to dinner. Eric made reservations at the Mill Pond Steakhouse complete with limo service.

We were picked up at 7:15 and 40 minutes later we pulled up to what looked like a rundown shack. Looks were definitely deceiving. The Boykin Mill Pond was built sometime before 1820 and has a rich history.

Truly a fine dinning experience.

A semi-early evening, we only stayed up until 3am.

Saturday was the birthday open house and we were expecting 40-50 people throughout the afternoon and evening. Since I don’t really drink and planned to remain sober Saturday, I was assigned several responsibilities designed to keep order and defuse drama. My beloved Corvette, Nick’s Z28, Gennie’s STS and Eric’s Tahoe were parked in the community pool parking lot a few miles from the house, one of the responsibilities entailed driving them safely back to the house once the party ended.

Gennie’s eldest son, Anthony, flew in from Texas to help celebrate.

My longtime friend (Gennie's ex-husband) Lee was taking Megan for the evening.

Nick and I enjoyed catching up with him and snapping a few pictures.

and I boarded Aaron’s boat since we weren’t interested in water skiing.

Here's Captain Brenda, and I'm not being funny. Aaron just retired from the army after 20 years of service as a field medic, and Brenda served for 13 years.

Monday morning came way too soon. Again, we didn’t go to bed until 4:30 and I was leaving at 10am. Our departures are sad and tearful so I try to leave before she awakes. When I went out to put my bags in the car I realized she parked behind me on purpose and hide her key-fob. We held our tears and I didn't start to cry until I drove around the corner and could no longer see her standing on her front porch.

It was a great week that seemed to end too quickly. Even though we talk every week, it’ll be another 6 months to a year before we see each other. I’m sure if we didn’t wait so long between visits we may get more sleep, but it wouldn’t be as exciting.

Well loyal readers, this blogger is taking the Corvette on her first road trip to the Palmetto State. I’m leaving in the morning for Columbia, SC and Nick will join me on Thursday, after he secures boarding for Hershey at Eddy’s house.

My best girlfriend is turning “the-big-four-OH” on Thursday. A group of us girls are going-out-on-the-town on “her day” and a big party will be held on Saturday, with about 50 family and friends.

Gennie and I have been friends since 1991. Well, that’s not really true. I was friends with her fiancée for about a year before their wedding. And I must say, it was the ABSOLUTE best reception I’ve ever attended. But I digress. Lee, my friend and her betrothed, invited me to their wedding.

Even though Gennie also worked at Matrix Essentials I had yet to meet her. And let me tell you, it was not my best first impression or hers either. A few months after the wedding Gennie was promoted to a compounding clerk position, the same position I held about 10 months before I was promoted to chemical receiving clerk. Compounding (the mixing area) and chemical receiving always had issues keeping inventory straight so you can kinda see where I’m I going with this. We found each other out in the warehouse trying to reconcile the same chemical discrepancy. Gennie defending the compounders and me defending my receiving crew. One thing led to another and Gennie said “I’m not intimidated by you like all the compounding guys are, Bit*h!” Well, I’m not going to tell you what was said next. It contains much more colorful language not suitable for this blog. And we walked away.

Later during lunch, me, being the bigger person (and not wanting to be summoned to HR for my attitude, again) sat down and ate lunch with my warehouse nemesis and made amends. And we’ve been best friends ever since.

We’ve shared so much, been there for each other and I can’t imagine not having her in my life. We are polar opposites on a lot of issues from raising children, religion (I’m still working on her) and running a household. But we are like “yin and yang” and compliment each other when we’re together. And we keep each other out of trouble.

So, I’m sure I have lots of pictures to post and some stories to tell once I return next week.

Nick and I live in between Grove City and Groveport, just outside

the 270 loop around Columbus. And this weekend we have the

pleasure of seeing the hot air balloons take flight just to the west of

our home. I was able to capture these about 8am this morning from

my backyard. The Grove City Hot Air Balloon Festival started

on Friday and runs thru Sunday.

The whine-o-grams have been thin in content the past couple weeks, but that doesn’t mean the unindicted terror coconspirators haven’t been busy. Busy trying to drum-up monetary support for their “share the quran” program. In a July 23rd email appeal for cash, Nihad Awad asks the ummah “why are qurans waiting in a D.C. warehouse?” and the answer is money. Since the project was launched only 1500 korans have been subsidized while tens-of-thousands of korans are in need of sponsorship. $120,000.00 is needed to “successfully complete the first phase of this important effort” claims Awad. “If you donate today, the Qurans can be in the hands of opinion leaders by ~~the holy terror month~~ Ramadan, the month of the Quran.”

You can see from the screen shot at the top of this post just how much progress CAIR has made in reaching their quran sponsoring goal. The progress meter is between zero and ten thousand dollars.

In other CAIR news;

On July 11 the San Diego Public Library was host to a lecture titled “ISLAMOPHOBIA: American Islamic Issues Discussed from a Post-September 11 Perspective” by Edgar Hopida. Hopida is CAIR’s San Diego chapter PR director. Do you think this was an impartial presentation? Me neither.

Well, the unindicted terror coconspirators had their panties in a bunch and issued action alert #586 when SD Public Library advertised a lecture by Michael Hayutin, the local director of Act! For America. The presentation titled; Radical Islam Discussed from a Post-September 11 Perspective was advertised the same way Hopida’s presentation was advertised.

In a letter to library director, Deborah Barrow, Edgar Hopida and CAIR’s concern was over taxpayer’s money being used to promote the presentation. After the usual CAIR character assassination of Brigitte Gabriel, founder of ACT! For America, and tactfully pointing out how CAIR successfully forced a Texas library to ban (what CAIR deemed) an anti-islamic group from meeting, Hopida stated; “Because we are strong defenders of the First amendment right to free speech, even the bigoted speech offered by groups such as Act! for America, we do not ask that the presentation be canceled.”

“Instead, we respectfully request that the San Diego Public Library withdraw its sponsorship of the event so that local taxpayers are not made unwittingly complicit in the promotion of hatred and bigotry. We also ask that a representative from the San Diego Muslim community be permitted to offer accurate and balanced information about Islam to those attending the event.”

It’s quite ironic that no one made a request to represent an opposing viewpoint during Hopida’s July 11th lecture. And no one came forward to express apprehension over the library’s promotion of such an event. Both events were promoted using the same San Diego Public Library letterhead. The hypocrisy of this group never ceases to amaze me.

***Update; SkyePuppy asked in the comment section if the San Diego Public Library caved to CAIR pressure. I'm happy to say that they did not cave. In this UPI article the library said "it is simply publicizing Hayutin's lecture as it would any public event."

The whine-o-gram hailed this as a “major victory” for civil rights. A Minneapolis judge ruled that a retroactive law passed in 2007 doesn’t give law enforcement officers immunity from being sued for violating the Constitution.

“Congress passed the law in 2007, to retroactively give individuals more protection from being prosecuted for reporting suspicious activities that could lead to acts of terrorism.”

In layman’s terms, if you or I report suspicious activity to the authorities and it turns out to be, oh let’s say….. an innocent act of muslim youth preparing their own homemade fireworks, we cannot be sued. We acted without malice.

Our only hope is when the facts are placed in front of a jury, those 12 people will recall how they felt that day when our nation came under attack. No, not from these men, but their coreligionist, and for them to be so oblivious to airline passenger’s sensitivity is insulting and offensive. I’m a nervous wreck every time I board a plane and believe me, my jihadi radar is on high alert.

The angry American backlash that never transpired after 9/11, was a great disappointment to groups like CAIR, MSA and ISNA. I was living in Cleveland at the time and the only backlash to occur was some bonehead who got drunk and drove his Mustang through the mosque doors in Parma. The same mosque that was founded by the doctor who delivered my son.

We’re a civilized people and yes we were hurting. But random attacks on muslims in this country just-didn’t-happen on the scale the race peddlers had predicted and secretly hoped.

Tolerance and sensitivity is a two way street and this tactic of donning the cloak of victimhood at the drop of a hat is getting old. And hopefully it’s gonna backfire on them if the jury delivers a not guilty verdict.

The Stoning of Soraya M

Saturday evening, Nick and I attended one of the Drexel Theaters weeklong showings of The Stoning of Soraya M. Let me say up-front, I usually don’t care for movies once I’ve read the book it’s based on. This was one of 3 that my minds eye had pictured. (The Boy in the Stripped Pajamas and Defiance are the others)

Initially the movie was in limited release, in only a dozen or so theaters, across the country. I’d read the book upon its publication years before 9/11 and before islam was even noticed in America. Blame it on my Jewish background.

The movie is 2 hours long and could have been made into a mini-series. Some information was left out, I believe because of time, but never deviated from the written word. The history of the journalist and a few more details regarding Soraya could have been added and wasn’t noticed if you didn’t read the book. Only a few conversations are in English so you have to read the subtitles.

I wasn’t the only one blowing their nose and unfolding popcorn napkins to dry their eyes. This is a powerful, insightful movie showing one of dangers that the Jimmah Carter administration helped to reinstall in Iran. If you have the opportunity to see this movie, please do. You won’t be disappointed.

The unindicted terror finance coconspirator, CAIR, believe they succeeded in forcing the cancelation of an ALA conference scheduled to take place this morning in Chicago.

How were they able to do this you ask….well, in all honesty they didn’t, at least not with facts. The tactic employed was half-truths, misquotes and pressure.

Enter Robert Spencer. According to CAIR Robert Spencer is “one of the nation’s leading Islam-bashers”. Spencer has been the target of many a whine-o-gram action alert and CAIR incitement watch. This time was not different, all CAIR needed to do was twist some statements and heavily rely on the dhimmi-factor. And like good little kuffar the ALA caved and canceled the event.

From the email; “We thank all those who stood up for tolerance and mutual understanding to challenge Robert Spencer’s Islamophobic views,” said CAIR-Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab, who had written to the ALA questioning why an anti-Islam bigot was invited to a panel on dispelling stereotypes about Islam.

“Because stereotyping of Islam is such an important issue, we hope a future panel on this topic can be arranged with credible scholars and representatives of the American Muslim community,” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad. "We strongly support open and honest discussion of difficult issues, but Mr. Spencer's agenda-driven polemics promote the very stereotypes that the ALA event sought to dispel."

It’s interesting to note that CAIR “would seek to work with the ALA to schedule a future event on the same topic as the canceled panel discussion” and then pimped their share the koran program in the same whine-o-gram.

CAIR asks Obama to intervene, Cynthia McKinney..

Georgia’s resident loon Cynthia McKinney and 20 others, from the (pro-hamas, pro-hezbollah, anti-Israel group) Free Gaza, were caught trying to enter Gaza via Israeli waters and were detained by Israeli forces. Well CAIR was quick to call for Obama to demand her release. She is after all, a former congressman.

Now this isn’t the first time the Capital police officer assaulting former congressman has had a run in (literally) with the IDF. In December McKinney was on the S.S. Dignity, and it collided with an Israeli navy craft that was part of the same blockade as she and her group claimed they were attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

A statement from the Israeli Consulate General of Israel in Atlanta said; "Once again, former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and her fellow travelers have taken it upon themselves to disregard their own safety... by leading a boat into restricted waters. Ms. McKinney ignored the available and legal means for the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip and instead chose to make a reckless political stunt."

The Free Gaza movement in America (and the British movement) is an offshoot of a similar organization viva palestina (viva palestina US) and heavily supported by British anti-Zionist, George Galloway.

These anti-Semitic nuts are under a bit of fund-raising scrutiny as the ADL’s Abe Foxman begs the question in an op-ed this past Monday; Raising Funds for Gaza in the US: Crossing a Line?

Galloway is currently in the U.S. on a
three-week-long fundraising drive for Viva Palestina US and is scheduled to make
appearances in at least 12 U.S. cities, including Houston, San Diego, Chicago,
Washington, DC and New York. These fundraising events are being coordinated by
more than 20 anti-Israel and antiwar groups, as well as local Viva Palestina US
chapters that have formed, an indication of the strong support Galloway has
received. Pastors for Peace/the Interreligious Foundation for Community
Organization (IFCO), an interfaith organization based out of New York, is
serving as Viva Palestina US' fiscal sponsor, thus ensuring that donations to
the convoy will be tax deductible.

Under American law, providing
material support to designated terrorist groups, including Hamas, is a crime.
Organizers of Viva Palestina US claim on the group's Web site that the convoy
intends to comply with U.S. law and will give the money to "a reception
committee comprising hospitals, doctors and health professionals, charities and
grassroots NGOs working in Gaza." It is not verifiable that this
"committee" will function independently of the Hamas leadership in Gaza, and
Galloway -- who plans to lead the American convoy -- has already demonstrated
his willingness to directly support Hamas.

So having CAIR come out demanding Giggles get involved with her release ensures their most popular infidel supporter continues to push the CAIR agenda. Well, it didn’t take long for the bean counters at CAIR to double check the abacus, (and like Jethro Bodine who never quite got the hang of ciphering), and discover a call to the faithful must be made to fund this campaign I told you about Saturday.

Today’s whine-o-gram heralded Action Alert 578. CAIR is calling on Muslims to help distribute free copies of the Quran to 100,000 local, state and national leaders by the end of the year.

The new “Share the Quran” campaign, which is designed to enhance understanding of Islam by opinion leaders and policymakers nationwide, was prompted by President Obama’s recent address to the Muslim world in which he quoted from the holy text.

As with any monetary plea to the faithful, their “immediate action requested to make this effort succeed” is spelled out in full. The ummah is asked to pray and make dua (~~nag~~ inform fellow muslims to do the same) for the success of this ~~simple religious imposition~~ educational effort.

Yes fellow infidel, ~~our~~ education is the pathway to ~~submission~~ peace.

If the nobleness of this ~~crusade~~ campaign alone doesn’t move you to act, CAIR guarantees your “donation” is tax deductible and zakat eligible.

And we all know muslim charities operating worldwide have a stellar reputation for providing young, impoverished followers of islam abroad with ~~homicide vests and belts~~ the means to lift themselves out of poverty.

Giggles' Cairo speech to the muslim world has prompted CAIR to offer korans to 100,000 American leaders.....

The whine-o-gram media advisory was jubilant in its announcement to the faithful. Calling it a "Major educational initiative prompted by president’s quoting of Islam’s revealed text". Isn't that what we all wanted in an American president?

Executive director Nihad Awad said; "When he quoted the Koran on the fundamental values we share such as sanctity of human life, racial diversity, importance of speaking the truth, we believe it was a surprise to many people not familiar with Islam,"

The Washington Post reports these free books, to be given to elected officials, will be paid for by the muslim representative who is giving the book. The expensive copy cost $78 and those who'll be handing them out are asked to pay $45 per book given.

*Editors note; Are members of the RoP going to claim that CAIR is to big to fail? According to my math, CAIR will need 7.8 million dollars to have enough korans in stock to give away. Even if their reps pay for all the korans they plan to leave with government officials, at a cost of 4.5 million, CAIR is looking at a deficit of 3.3 million. Maybe Larry Shaw and Keith Ellison added some ~~pork~~ hummus to a one of these 900 page bills the house and senate are so keen on passing. I'm just sayin'....

It seems of late CAIR is really struggling as it tries to work the ummah into frenzy. Providing stories from the far reaches of left wing reporting ~~propaganda~~ sources and suspect propagandists contributors. In an earlier post I told you how CAIR used a leftist blogger turned "Washington insider" reporter, wonkette, as a reliable source for a smear-piece on a Chicago politician.

Once again CAIR links to a report on Communication Management Units, aka detention centers, inside America. They’re accused of confining “animal rights activists ~~terrorists~~”, “environmental activists ~~eco-terrorists~~” and….. gasp.... a high number of muslims. From what I understand, these detentions centers are for like any other prison placing greater emphasis on controlling inmate communications.

In an effort to ~~enrage~~ inform the ummah, yesterdays whine-o-gram linked to a less-than-reputable, unbiased source, “Green Is the New Red” and its proprietor Will Potter.

As of this posting, CAIR has yet to post it to their website. And since I’m not going to link to his site or article, feel free to google it if you’d like to read it. I will however post the content of his commentary.

Potter, who’s an award wining journalist, sides with the detainees and those fighting civil liberty injustice, which is clear in his unbiased commentary. I will link to a DoJ official PDA describing a transfer, offense and reasons for the increased scrutiny of this inmate.

SECRETIVE U.S. PRISON UNITS USED TO HOUSE MUSLIM, ANIMAL RIGHTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVISTS

The government is using secretive prison facilities on U.S. soil,
called Communication Management Units, to house inmates accused of being tied to
“terrorism” groups. They overwhelmingly include Muslim inmates, along with at
least two animal rights and environmental activists.
Little information is available about
the secretive facilities and the prisoners housed there. However, through
interviews with attorneys, family members, and a current prisoner, it is clear
that these units have been created not for violent and dangerous “terrorists,”
but for political cases that the government would like to keep out of the public
spotlight and out of the press.
OPENED QUIETLY AND PERHAPS ILLEGALLY
In April of 2006, the Department of
Justice proposed a new set of rules to restrict the
communication of “terrorist” inmates. The proposal did not make it far, though: during the required
public comment period, the ACLU and other civil rights groups raised
Constitutional concerns. The program was too sweeping, they said, and it could
wrap up non-terrorists and those not even convicted of a crime.
The Bureau of Prisons dropped the proposal. Or
so it seemed. Just a few months later, a similar program (now called the
Communication Management Unit, or CMU), was quietly opened by the Justice
Department at Terre Haute, Ind.
Then, in May of 2008, a handful of inmates
were moved, without warning, to what is believed to be the second CMU in the
country, at Marion, Il.
Both CMUs are “self-contained” housing units,
according to prison documents, for prisoners who “require increased monitoring
of communication” in order to “protect the public.”
WHO IS HOUSED AT CMUs?
The CMUs are less restrictive than, say, ADX
Florence, the notorious supermax prison for the most dangerous inmates. The
supermax holds al-Qaeda operative Zacarias Moussaoui and Unabomber Theodore J.
Kaczynski. CMU inmates stand in sharp contrast to the Moussaouis and Kaczynskis
of the world, though.

They include Rafil A. Dhafir, an
Iraqi-born physician who created a charity called Help the Needy to provide food
and medicine to the people of Iraq suffering under the U.S.-imposed economic
sanctions. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison for violating the sanctions.
They include Daniel McGowan, an environmental
activist sentenced to seven years in prison for a string of property crimes in
the name of defending the environment. He was previously at FCI-Sandstone, a
low-security facility, and was transferred without notice to the CMU, and told
it was not for any disciplinary reason.
And, until recently, they included Andrew
Stepanian. Stepanian was convicted of conspiring to commit “animal enterprise
terrorism” and shut down the notorious animal testing laboratory Huntingdon Life
Sciences, in a landmark First Amendment case pending appeal. The government’s
case focused on a controversial website run by an activist group that published
news of both legal and illegal actions against the laboratory. He was sentenced
to three years in prison, and is currently on house arrest in New York City.
Stepanian is believed to be the first prisoner ever released from a CMU.
VIOLATION OF DUE PROCESS RIGHTS

Attorneys and prisoners have said that inmates are
transferred to the CMUs without notice and without opportunity to challenge
their new designation, in what seems to be a clear violation of their due
process rights.
“No one got a hearing to determine whether we
should or should not be transferred here,” said Daniel McGowan in a letter from
the CMU in Marion, Ill.
Similarly, Rafil A.
Dhafir said in a letter to his family from the CMU in
Terre Haute, Ind., that he was put in isolation for two days before the move.
“No one seems to know about this top-secret operation until now,” he wrote. “It
is still not fully understood… The staff here is struggling to make sense of the
whole situation.”
“We are told this is an experiment,” Dhafir
says. “So the whole concept is evolving on a daily
basis.”
OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND
The CMU “experiment” limits prisoner contact with the outside world through a list
of restrictive policies. According to prison documents giving a skeleton of CMU policies, called
institution supplements, they
include:

Phone calls: Only
one phone call per week, limited to 15 minutes, live-monitored by staff and law
enforcement (according to attorneys, this includes the NSA) and scheduled one
and half weeks in advance. It must be conducted in English. Other prisoners get
about 300 minutes a month.
Mail: All mail must be
reviewed by staff prior to delivery to the inmate or processing at the post
office. This means significant delays in communications (and, in my personal
experience, letters frequently not being received by inmates).
Visits: Four hours of personal visits per month,
non-contact, behind glass, and live-monitored by staff and law enforcement. It
must be conducted in English. By comparison, at FCI Sandstone (where McGowan was
previously housed) prisoners can receive 56 potential visiting hours per month.
I have learned from attorneys and prisoners that when a CMU inmate is
transferred to the visiting room, the entire facility goes on
lock-down.
For many inmates in federal prisons, phone calls, mail and visits are flecks of light in the darkness. Virtually eliminating all contact with family, friends and the outside world can have a devastating psychological impact on prisoners, and raises serious concerns about basic human rights.
WHY ARE THEY THERE?

It is difficult to discern the rationale behind why some inmates are transferred to the CMU and others are not. For instance, John Walker Lindh, the “American Taliban,” is housed at the CMU in Terre Haute. He pleaded guilty to supporting the Taliban and carrying a rifle and grenades on the battlefield in Afghanistan. However, the government announced last month it is actually easing restrictions on his communication.
In the case of Andy Stepanian, he was one of six codefendants, and by the admission of prosecutors he was one of the minor players in the case. He is not accused of any violent crime or any property destruction, and had no disciplinary problems while
incarcerated. Stepanian received the second-lowest sentence of the group, and
his codefendants are not in CMUs. Daniel McGowan’s notice of transfer to the
CMU gives some indication of the government’s reasoning. It says that he has
been identified “as a member and leader in the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) and
Animal Liberation Front (ALF), groups considered domestic terrorist organizations.”
But in a letter from the CMU, McGowan wrote: “It’s funny–I have like 13 codefs [codefendants] + there are 11 other eco prisoners and I end up here.”
Part of the explanation for his transfer to the CMU, it seems, is that he is a vocal, prominent activist with a large group of active supporters. For McGowan, his near celebrity status within the environmental movement, along with his continued activism, has become a liability. When I attended his sentencing hearing in Eugene, Ore., in 2006, the judge made a point of criticizing his media appearances and his website, SupportDaniel.org.
Attorneys, prisoners and their supporters speculate there may be legal calculations involved as well. The CMUs have been overwhelmingly comprised of people of color since their inception, and lawsuits have been filed alleging discrimination and racial
profiling.
“Throwing a few white kids into the mix makes it appear less like an American Guantanamo,” said one attorney who did not want to be identified. “And it also sends the message to the prisoners and to the movements that supporter them. It’s meant to have a chilling effect.”
CONTINUING A TREND
The creation of secret facilities to primarily house Muslim inmates accused of non-violent charges, along with a couple animal rights and environmental activists, marks
both a continuation and a radical expansion of the “War on Terrorism.”
First, it is a continuation of the “terrorism” crackdown that Arab and Muslim
communities have intensely experienced since September 11th. Guantanamo Bay may be closing. But as Jeanne Theoharis beautifully wrote recently: “Guantánamo is not simply an aberration; its closure will not return America to the rule of law or to its former standing among nations. Guantánamo is a particular way of seeing the Constitution, of
constructing the landscape as a murky terrain of lurking enemies where the
courts become part of the bulwark against such dangers, where rights have limits
and where international standards must be weighed against national security.”
Second, it is an expansion of the lesser-known “terrorism” crackdown against animal rights and environmental activists by corporations and the politicians who represent them. This coordination campaign to label activists as “terrorists” and push a political agenda—the “Green Scare”—has involved terrorism enhancement penalties, FBI agents infiltrating vegan potlucks, and new terrorism legislation like the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act, and it all has proceeded unobstructed and unseen. There has been a near-complete media blackout on the Green Scare, and transferring vocal, public Green Scare prisoners to CMUs sends a clear message that the government hopes to keep it that way.
“SECOND-TIER TERRORISTS”
When the CMU at Terre Haute was created, Dan Eggen at The Washington Post described it as a facility for “second-tier terrorism inmates.”
What Eggen was clearly getting at is that the CMU overwhelmingly held Arab Muslim inmates rounded up and smeared by the government as “terrorists,” even though they had not done anything violent or “terrorist.”
But the CMUs are not “second-tier terrorism” prisons. They are political prisons. All of the defendants—Muslim, environmentalist, animal rights activist—are housed there because of their ethnicity, their religion, their ideology, or all of the above.
The mere existence of the CMUs should be yet another warning call to all Americans concerned about the future of this country. If we allow the government to continue widening the net of who is a “terrorist,” and expanding the scope of what punishments are applicable (and what rights are inapplicable) when that word comes into play, it places us all at risk. The reckless expansion of the War on Terrorism didn’t stop with Arabs and Muslims, and it won’t stop with environmentalists or animal rights
activists.
The power to create and maintain secretive prison facilities for political prisoners is antithetical to a healthy democracy. If there is one thing that we should learn from history, from governments that have gone down this path, it is this: If there is a secretive
prison for “second-tier” terrorists, it will only be followed by a secretive prison “third-tier terrorists,” and “fourth-tier terrorists,” until one by one, brick by brick, the legal wall separating “terrorist” from “dissident” or “undesirable” has crumbled.

The naiveté of journalists such as Potter really demonstrate how blurry the lines between right and wrong, good and evil and moral relativity are in the minds of leftist. To condemn the actions of the previous administration, claiming civil rights violations and an executive power grab while remaining silent as Obama nationalizes car companies, banks and appoints more czars than the Russian empire screams hypocrisy.

Earlier in the day I adjusted the settings on my
Olympus Evolt E-410 so I wouldn’t find myself messing with it in the dark should

we loose power again.

I should have modified the Nikon L18 as well since that was what

I used. I was able to capture 3 really good lightning pictures out of 75 attempts.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a whine-o-gram round-up. So let's get on with it, shall we? Sure!

First up we have this pathetic, one sentence response to the shooting at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC. In a statement, issued at 4:15pm on 6/10/09, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said:

“We condemn this apparent bias-motivated attack and stand with the Jewish community and with Americans of all faiths in repudiating the kind of hatred and intolerance that can lead to such disturbing incidents.”

WOW, sounds like one of those “strongly-worded-statements” released by the UN, and it had the same impact. Unbelievable!

Suppression of free speech in the islamic state of Michigan!

A federal judge denies a Christian group's request for permission to hand out literature on sidewalks at this years arab festival in Detroit. An arabic Christian group sued the city of Detroit claiming the city is violating its free speech and religious rights.

The group, Arabic Christian Perspective, filed a lawsuit Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Detroit, alleging its rights were violated when Dearborn police told the group its members would not be able to walk freely through the festival's four- to five-block area passing out literature promoting Christianity over islam. Organizers want to confine the group to a designated area, the lawsuit said. The group, which conducts similar efforts nationwide, wants 90 volunteers to have unlimited access throughout the festival, which runs Friday through Sunday..... Richard Thompson, an attorney for the group, said Arabic Christian Perspective has been passing out literature at the festival for the past five years without incident.

U.S. District Judge Nancy Edmunds, ~~while burning the constitution~~, denied the group’s request for permission to distribute literature at the arab festival. Going a step further, in true CAIR character assassination fashion, OC Weekly tries to discredit Arabic Christian Perspectives by accusing the group's founder George Saieg and an associate, Robert Morey (author of Islam Unveiled; The True Desert Storm, and many other books), of “islam-bashing”.

Finally we have CAIR New York welcoming the city council vote on muslim holidays in schools.
(NEW YORK, NY, 6/18/09) - The New York chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY) today joined a coalition of community organizations in welcoming the passage of a resolution by a **committee of the city council that calls for adding Muslim holidays to the school calendar.

**Editors note; First of all we need to clarify what actually passed. This was a vote by a city council committee, not the city council itself. Secondly, if this passes the New York City school calendar will include an extra two holidays that less than 13% of the student body will celebrate.

Resolution 1281, passed overwhelmingly by the New York City Council Education Committee, calls on the “New York City Department of Education to incorporate the Muslim holidays of Eid Ul-Fitr and Eid Ul-Adha as observed school holidays in the school calendar for the city school district of the city of New York” and also asks that the state legislature “pass, and the Governor to sign into law, A.8108/S.5837, an Act to amend the education law, in relation to requiring that Eid Ul-Fitr and Eid Ul-Adha be school holidays in the city school district of the city of New York.”

If this passes, do you think goats and sheep will be brought in to the class rooms to demonstrate the proper halal slaughtering process? Seriously, the passage of this resolution will lead to mandatory fasting and halal menu issues forcing the 87%, non-muslim student body to ~~submit~~ comply. And no, Kosher and halal are not the same, just ask Moses.

The above picture was a painstaking, labor of love. I had to wait patiently for over 45 minutes and I snapped over 65 bad pictures before I caught the lightning loop.

As my loyal readers know I own a 2008 Corvette. I've posted about "her" here and here. A luxury item to be sure and one we’ve worked very hard to purchase. But I’ve got to tell you, my Vette gets better gas mileage than the 2007 Dodge Caliber we have. I’m not kidding. I average 22.8 miles to the gallon and I don't need an oil change until I hit the 15 THOUSAND mile mark (we will of course change it next month at 5k miles), not bad for a 438 horsepower, 8 cylinder sports car.

Now I’m not sayin’ you should trade in your minivan, heavens no, how are you going to haul all your children to soccer, hockey and dance? What I am saying is I like the option to decide what I want to buy and drive, not the government. To say GM is going to emerge from chapter 11 producing better, more fuel efficient automobiles is just more folly by Giggles the new “Government Motors” CEO.

Now don’t get me wrong, I hate having to hand over my gas money to the evil Saudis. And every time we do we run the risk of financing an attack somewhere by some crazy muslim. But the technology isn’t even close to becoming viable and quite frankly, I don’t think the majority of Americans want to drive around in a Smart Car. I know I don’t. And how in the world are you going to take more than ONE child anywhere? Safely I might add.

America is the birthplace of the muscle car; Mustangs, Firebirds, the Camaro and the original sports car, the Corvette. Our love for fast cars is not unique, Dinah Lord had a post regarding “American Car Days” in Tehran of all places. They sure love our cars....

We also love big trucks and SUV’s. A few years ago a Bob Seger song was the Chevy truck theme song, Like a Rock, do you remember? That’s America, that song is the American spirit;

CAIR now "questions" FBI tactics in NY terror plot

Last week when CAIR came out with praise and support for the FBI, I subconsciously waited for the other shoe to drop. And drop it did. Yesterday's critical whine-o-gram says CAIR now “questions FBI Tactics in NY Synagogue ‘Plot’New details of informant’s actions prompt Muslim group’s concerns”. Citing credible sources like the Huffington Post for leading the charge in defense of the ummah; “islam not to blame for Bronx terror plot”. The same old tried mantra.

CAIR’s Chicago office executive director ~~thug~~, Ahmed Rehab authored the Huffington article ~~drivel~~. Like other articles, commentaries and op-ed’s by fellow CAIR minions, Rehab aims to educate the infidel populace by presenting the “facts” of the case. In his list of facts Rehab states these terrorists are too stupid to be considered al Qaeda material; “hardly the breed of ruthless masterminds that the global terrorist networks like Al Qaeda tend to recruit and deploy”. We are led to believe that once again these poor men are victims of and were radicalized by an “agent provocateur” working for the United States government. Already working the entrapment angle, Rehab employs the greed card by including this statement by a long-time mosque member; "It's easy to influence someone with the dollar".

Masjid al-Ikhlas members and other RoP faithful all claim there was something suspicious about the informant and knew to stay away form him. If everyone knew this informant was bad news, why didn’t someone alert the authorities? Rehab gets the answer to that question from Imam Muhammad; "How do you go to the government about the government?"

There’s no mention as to what part the imam and mosque played in their radicalization or if their jailhouse conversion enhanced their anti-Americanism/anti-Semitism or did their anti-Americanism/anti-Semitism hastened their conversion. For now, the self-appointed American muslim mouthpiece would have us believe, these men are the true victims and islam is under attack once again.

As we were traveling south on interstate 71 I was able capture fellow blogger Bekah, proprietor of Bekah's Bits, on this billboard about 15 miles from the Kentucky border. I noticed it the last time we drove to Cincinnati and today I made sure I had my camera along to snap a picture.

This isn't the first time Bekah has been spotted advertising for Indiana Wesleyan, last summer Chris over at Malott's blog spotted this internet ad featuring the lovely Bekah.

CAIR Applauds FBI for Preventing Attacks on NY Jewish Sites

I laughed out loud when I read the headline from this early morning whine-o-gram. Does anyone really believe this praise is sincere? Me...not so much.

Of course the supportive nod from CAIR has a caveat.

In a statement, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said:
(WASHINGTON, D.C., 5/21/2009) The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today applauded efforts by the FBI and other law enforcement agencies that apparently thwarted an alleged plot to attack Jewish institutions in New York.
Four men were arrested Wednesday for allegedly plotting to bomb a synagogue and a Jewish community center. The men also allegedly planned to shoot down military planes.

“We applaud the FBI, the New York Police Department and the other law enforcement agencies that took part in the investigation for their efforts in helping to prevent any harm to either Jewish institutions or to our nation’s military.

Members of the American Muslim community should remain vigilant in reporting any activities that could harm the safety and security of our nation or its citizens.”
CAIR also requested that media outlets and public officials refrain from linking this case to mainstream Islam* and to challenge those who will inevitably exploit this disturbing incident to promote anti-Muslim fear and stereotypes.

Along with innumerable condemnations of other terror incidents, CAIR has in the past launched an online anti-terror petition drive called “Not in the Name of Islam,” initiated a television public service announcement campaign of that same name and coordinated a “fatwa,” or Islamic religious ruling, against terrorism and religious extremism.

How many times do we have to be told these barbarians are not true muslims, islam means peace and the ummah condemns fill-in-the-blank?

This mantra is getting old…fast.

When will we realize islam is the problem? Radical imams cultivate extremist views in mosques and by converting angry prison inmates. This is unique only to muslims and islam. If not, show me the Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu or atheist terror cells operating anywhere in the world.

I know I’ve been MIA for the last week. A lot going on and an increase in work hours have left me little time for blogger.

Nick and I attended commencement services at John Carroll University yesterday. Our niece graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree and Alpha Sigma Nu; The National Jesuit Honor Society member. She was also presented the Biology Leadership Award and is the vice president of the John Carroll chapter of Circle K, an organization focusing on community service and leadership.

How About That!

And she has a great sense of humor.

To say we were a proud group sitting amongst the few thousand people in the quad is an understatement. Though she’s not unique among her fellow graduates from this private institution, she is however exceptional. Especially to her proud family.

“Number 9”, the moniker I gave her after she graduated 9th in her class at Trinity High School in 2005, has enrolled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Walsh University.

CAIR target; Steven Emerson.....again

Once again we have CAIR on the attack (I know, you’re all surprised). The chosen target is no stranger to CAIR, enter Steven Emerson. In this CAIR Chicago article the “islamophobe and career hatemonger” is assaulted for an this Emerson IPT article published by the Hudson Institute. CAIR didn’t address, as is their hallmark, the assertions made by Emerson, rather CAIR engaged in character assassination.

The CAIR article (only published on their site as far as I could see) seems to “break down” Emerson’s assertions when in fact it’s smoke and mirrors. While seeming to “address” the claims CAIR takes the reader on this lengthy and turbulent ride, while not outright lying, devoid of many facts.

I’m not going to dissect the articles, I’ve read them both many times and can assure you CAIR hasn’t addressed the claims. Again, as is their MO, donning the cloak of victimhood and skirting around the issues leaving the (RoP faithful) readers sympathetic to their plight.

Emerson has been reporting on the islamic threat to the west, especially here in America, for almost 2 decades. The credibility CAIR claims Emerson is lacking is a self portrait. Steven Emerson has never been an “unindicted coconspirator”, the same cannot be said for the self-appointed American muslim mouthpiece.

I find it most disturbing that NOW, Code Pinko, even those "towers of moral clarity" at the UN turn a blind eye while such abuses continue unmolested (pun intended).

CAIR lackey, moon-bat reporter, questions Hasner

I just opened yesterday’s whine-o-gram and the CAIR assault on free speech continues. Representative Adam Hasner is no stranger to CAIR as I’ve highlighted here and here.

Now we have some twit reporter whose world view is one of tolerance, moral equivalence and, in my opinion, anti-Americanism. Francis’ article, Dear Rep. Adam Hasner, first compliments Hasner calling him an “eminent statesman”. With those pleasantries out of the way Francis then recounts the ummah victimhood mantra against Wilders.

Francis questions whether Hasner shares Wilders “anti-islamic” views and asks if he is indeed a “friend” as quoted by Wilders. Blah, blah, blah.

Reporter, Tom Francis, responds to commenter’s who question his first amendment beliefs; "And you question my belief in free speech? Because I've devoted my professional career to its cause?"

OK, I get it now. Only the views of the liberal ilk are worthy of being heard. Hey Francis, get down off your high horse before you’re the one falling down. If Francis is condemning Hasner for the company he’s keeping, I have this question; who are you in bed with?

Let’s face it; Francis is able to publish his beliefs/opinions sans repercussion. Reporters are free, in this great country, to spew their views in every rag nationwide. The industry has lost its way, no longer reporting the news with an unbiased eye.

What would happen if Francis’ reporting/views were suddenly deemed anti-islamic? How would he feel about his right to say what he believes? Free speech is quickly becoming an entity of the left.

What was Giggles thinkin'?

To live through the attack on the homeland and choosing to remain in New York City is surely a lesson in the perseverance of the human condition. Then our nation elects a man who can’t keep track of his plane? Personally, I think this was a deliberate act by Giggles.

Doug Hagmann, director of the Northeast Intelligence Network, has some questions and some comments about the “secret mission”;

“According to the official reports of this incident, Louis E. Caldera, director of the White House Military Office, “approved” this “mission” the previous week and has now fallen on his sword, taking full responsibility for this ill-conceived plan. Also according to official reports, commander -in-chief Barack Hussein Obama apparently did not know about the plan in advance, and only learned of the fallout from this event Monday afternoon, more than a few hours after the event. Nonetheless, he too is reportedly angry over the angst caused by this “mission”.

” Although I do not doubt the sheer stupidity and narcissism of political hacks inside the beltway, the “official line” has as many gaping holes as the U.S.-Mexican border. Apparently, the majority of the media continue to be too entranced by their infatuation with their American idol of a president to see the absurdity of this story and contradictions concerning this event. As usual, no one in the media is asking pertinent questions, and they sure aren’t demanding answers. So, please allow me: Click here for his probing questions.

Once hysteria spread throughout Manhattan, Giggles claimed “It was a mistake as was stated. It was something we found out about it along with all of you, and it will not happen again.” WHAT? It’s like he’s a teenager promising to be home before curfew.

Watching Giggles, (and he was grinning from big ear to big ear) assure the American public “it will not happen again” does not lower my BP.

So, Giggles comes out and feigns outrage over this “mistake” then does a 180 and “explains” the reason for the lower Manhattan fly-over. Yeah, he wanted some pictures of his plane and Lady Liberty.

Like everything else in this open and honest administration, why the cover-up? And I’d like some answers….

In his first 100 days, Obama granted his first presidential interview to Al-Arabiya, his first presidential phone call was to Holocaust denying Mahmoud Abbas and Turkey was the location of his first major speech abroad. Adam Hasner is in the CAIR crosshairs again. This time for leaving the House floor before a muslim prayer.

The unindicted terror coconspirator issued “Action Alert” #574 (as of this posting, AA 574 has not been posted). This comes on the heels of last week’s condemnation of Hasner’s sponsorship of the “Free Speech Summit” held in Delray Beach, Florida.

When the current session of the Florida House of Representatives opened, Representative Jim Waldman (D - Coconut Creek) invited Qasim Ahmed to give the invocation. Ahmed is an imam from Tampa’s Islamic Learning Institute and was the first muslim to deliver the session opening prayer for the Florida House. Ahmed Bedier, former CAIR officer now director of Voices of America, was there to capture the historic event.

Hasner said he left the floor for “personal” reasons and Bedier offered this; “We did notice Hasner’s empty chair. That’s definitely noticed”. Did Bedier question Representative Hasner? It’s highly doubtful.

I would have walked out as well, as Americans we have that right. I do not “respect” islam, I tolerate those who wish to practice their religious freedom worshiping a cult. I extend the same respect extended by the ummah. I do not believe islam, as they claim, is a continuation of the Abrahamic faiths. But I digress.

CAIR and Bedier’s Voices of America have one agenda, to promote sharia and islam in America. To silence opposition and deem any critique of islam hate speech.

Have we forgotten how American and coalition forces, contractors or media reporters are treated when captured by the terrorists? Daniel Pearl, Nick Berg, Paul Johnson, Eugene Armstrong and Jack Hensley are all victims of the religion of peace. Or should I say religion of pieces….

Now the president has opened the door for AG Holder to prosecute those who “formulated those legal decisions”. For an incoming administration to indict the former administration over policy dispute sets a reckless prescient. For Obama this move seems to be aimed at satisfying the far-left fringe, specifically George Soros and his newly created Commission on Accountability. Soros bought and paid for the democratic party, and he’s bankrolling the call for this “torture” investigation.

Soros’ Open Society Institute issued an email to supporters on Wednesday announcing the creation of this new organization, the Commission on Accountability. The email asked followers for signatures petitioning the president to "establish an independent, non-partisan commission to examine and report publicly on torture and cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment of detainees in the period since September 11, 2001."

This organization, created by Soros’ and his Open Society Institute, is only in existence to destroy America. Period....

Obama announced the suspension of these policies, and like closing GITMO, he has no idea what to do now. The army field manual just won’t get the job done. He’s put {prosecutorial} fear, not in our enemies, but rather those tasked with our security. So long aggressive investigation.

Florida Security Council is hosting a “Free Speech Summit” including an appearance by Geert Wilders. This CAIR assault is aimed at members of the host committee calling the conference an "anti-islam hate fest" and dubbing the attendee’s "islamophobes and muslim-bashers".

Today, as in past Good Friday’s, I’ll be attending mass at 3:00 this afternoon. This is my favorite mass of the year, for me, it captures the essence of my faith, reinforcing why I believe what I believe.

I wasn’t going to listen to my usual talk-radio lineup and only use the computer to check email (because “Books From the Garage” is open today). I’ve had enough! Enough of watching my country deteriorate, as if she were afflicted with Ebola and NF with Jimmah back at the helm serving his second term.

Well, we all know I’m weak and couldn’t help myself; I turned the radio on when I came downstairs this morning. If I had stuck to my plan I wouldn’t have this slight pang in my right temple.

All bets were off when I heard an update from Quinn & Rose’s War Room on the pirate situation.

The greatest military power in the world and we have 4 islamo-scumbags holding a navy officer hostage in a FRICKIN’ DINGY, that’s out of gas by the way. And the inept commander of this great military can’t give the go ahead for 4 snipers to use 4 bullets and END what is obviously an extension of the “Overseas Contingency Operation”! This is embarrassing and humiliating.

Can someone please tell me what is happening to this country?

Today’s whine-o-gram is a plea for support for the flying imams. CAIR sent this appeal on behalf of MLFA, the muslim legal fund of America. More about them in a moment, but here's a video from their website. For your viewing pleasure, of course.

Remember the six imams who were traveling home to Phoenix when some islamophobic, racist and bigoted fellow passengers alerted authorities to their completely normal behavior.

Well, it seems those crazy imams are suing “US Airways and other entities who participated in taking them off the flight, detaining them and denying them further service”. And I would have to assume, this lawsuit would include the racist, islamophobic passengers.

Since there’s nothing on the CAIR website as of this writing, I’m going to post the email in its entirety.

Christian Science Monitor; 10 terms NOT to use with muslims

This just in from the unindicted terror coconspirator, the self-appointed muslim mouthpiece in America, CAIR; today’s whine-o-gram included an article published in the Christian Science Monitor titled “10 terms not to use with muslims”.

Chris Seiple capitulates to the sensitivities of the ummah by schooling the infidel on how to communicate with the islamic community. “There's a big difference between what we say and what they hear”, says Seiple and goes on to list the words or phrases that are offensive and relay the wrong message to the faithful. And Seiple should know; he’s the president of the Institute for Global Engagement and a senior fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. He’s also the founder of The Review of Faith & International Affairs, a member at the Council on Foreign Relations (New York), and a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies.

(*editors note* most of these think tanks are interconnected as one entity)

Pens and paper ready? Here we go, fellow infidel;

1) "The Clash of Civilizations" Invariably, this kind of discussion ends up with us as the good guy and them as the bad guy. There is no clash of civilizations, only a clash between those who are for civilization, and those who are against it. Civilization has many characteristics but two are foundational: 1) It has no place for those who encourage, invite, and/or commit the murder of innocent civilians; and 2) It is defined by institutions that protect and promote both the minority and the transparent rule of law.

2) "Secular" The Muslim ear tends to hear "godless" with the pronunciation of this word. And a godless society is simply inconceivable to the vast majority of Muslims worldwide. Pluralism – which encourages those with (and those without) a God-based worldview to have a welcomed and equal place in the public square – is a much better word.

3) "Assimilation" This word suggests that the minority Muslim groups in North America and Europe need to look like the majority, Christian culture. Integration, on the other hand, suggests that all views, majority and minority, deserve equal respect as long as each is willing to be civil with one another amid the public square of a shared society.

4) "Reformation" Muslims know quite well, and have an opinion about, the battle taking place within Islam and what it means to be an orthodox and devout Muslim. They don't need to be insulted by suggesting they follow the Christian example of Martin Luther. Instead, ask how Muslims understand ijtihad, or reinterpretation, within their faith traditions and cultural communities.

5) "Jihadi" The jihad is an internal struggle first, a process of improving one's spiritual self-discipline and getting closer to God. The lesser jihad is external, validating "just war" when necessary. By calling the groups we are fighting "jihadis," we confirm their own – and the worldwide Muslim public's – perception that they are religious. They are not. They are terrorists, hirabists, who consistently violate the most fundamental teachings of the Holy Koran and mainstream Islamic scholars and imams.

6) "Moderate" This ubiquitous term is meant politically but can be received theologically. If someone called me a "moderate Christian," I would be deeply offended. I believe in an Absolute who also commands me to love my neighbor. Similarly, it is not an oxymoron to be a mainstream Muslim who believes in an Absolute. A robust and civil pluralism must make room for the devout of all faiths, and none.

7) "Interfaith" This term conjures up images of watered-down, lowest common denominator statements that avoid the tough issues and are consequently irrelevant. "Multifaith" suggests that we name our deep and irreconcilable theological differences in order to work across them for practical effect – according to the very best of our faith traditions, much of which are values we share.

8) "Freedom" Unfortunately, "freedom," as expressed in American foreign policy, does not always seek to engage how the local community and culture understands it. Absent such an understanding, freedom can imply an unbound licentiousness. The balance between the freedom to something (liberty) and the freedom from something (security) is best understood in a conversation with the local context and, in particular, with the Muslims who live there. "Freedom" is best framed in the context of how they understand such things as peace, justice, honor, mercy, and compassion.

9) "Religious Freedom" Sadly, this term too often conveys the perception that American foreign policy is only worried about the freedom of Protestant evangelicals to proselytize and convert, disrupting the local culture and indigenous Christians. Although not true, I have found it better to define religious freedom as the promotion of respect and reconciliation with the other at the intersection of culture and the rule of law – sensitive to the former and consistent with the latter.

10) "Tolerance" Tolerance is not enough. Allowing for someone's existence, or behavior, doesn't build the necessary relationships of trust – across faiths and cultures – needed to tackle the complex and global challenges that our civilization faces. We need to be honest with and respect one another enough to name our differences and commonalities, according to the inherent dignity we each have as fellow creations of God called to walk together in peace and justice, mercy and compassion.

***And there you have it! We should be able to win the hearts and minds of the RoP faithful, now that we're armed with this new understanding of certain words in our vocabulary.

I’ve been ill and busy last week, with work and company over the weekend. That’s still no excuse to go an entire week without a post. The real reason is the whine-o-grams have been slim and repetitive. Nothing new, so I'll post a whine-o-gram speed link just to get you up to speed.

FBI & muslims at odds; it seems FBI director Mueller was called to answer questions at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. Questions (thank you Russ Feingold) stemming from the new AG guidelines regarding the FBI’s new lowered threshold for initiating an investigation. And the pantie's continue to be bunched in the article below.

CAIR, the FBI and McCarthy; like it or not islamic terrorists are muslims. And where do muslims congregate? Yes, in mosques and islamic centers. So when the FBI planted an informant in one California mosque the entire ummah is up in arms and was actually the reason for the coalition to consider suspending relations with the bureau.

Cleveland continues to capitulate; although Mayor Jackson’s office has declined to meet with CAIR and the trouble makers at Standard Parking Company or to comment on the issue. Prevailing wisdom will show that this is not discrimination against muslims. It’s a security issue. NO UNATTENDED VEHICLES! Period.Here’s my take; Frank Jackson is a democrat, his office has declined to comment or to meet with either CAIR or company representatives. What this says to me is, Jackson is gathering all the legal facts that’ll enable his office to quietly overturn this regulation.

TARGET; Cleveland Hopkins Airport in CAIR crosshairs

It seems my hometown, Cleveland Ohio, will soon be forced to march in dhimmitude lockstep. C-Land will be in good company joining the Twin Cities and Columbus to name a few that I've highlighted.

A whine-O-gram sent yesterday containing “Action Alert” #570 details the plight muslim cabbies are facing at Cleveland Hopkins Airport. CAIR is playing the race card, claiming muslims are being targeted based on their religion. The islamic hoopla is over the “unreasonable directive” that restricts muslim cabbies from leaving their cab in the taxi queue to enter the public restrooms to perform “wudu” and then lay down a rug for prayers.

CAIR has yet to post a link to action alert 570 as of this blog post, so I'll copy the whine-o-gram text here;

(CLEVELAND, OH, 3/19/09) - The Cleveland chapter of the
Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Cleveland) is calling on members of
the Muslim community and other people of conscience to contact the mayor of that
city to voice concerns about a recently-issued policy directive that prohibits
Muslim cab drivers from praying at Hopkins International Airport while waiting
for fares in the taxi queue.
Other policy directives ban the drivers from using airport
restrooms to make ritual ablutions (wudu) and from praying in the airport chapel
while on the job.
The latest (March 13, 2009) directive states in part: “Cab
drivers observed ‘praying’ in the queue by the cab starter may be sent out for
the day. Cab drivers observed moving another’s cab to enable ‘praying’ will be
considered in violation of the ASV (Airport Security Violation) Policy and
subject to the ASV reinstatement procedure and possible permanent banning from
picking up fares at CLE.”
The drivers claim that if they must exit the queue in order
to pray they will suffer significant loss of access to fares, forcing them to
choose between their faith and their livelihood.
Somali and other immigrant taxi owners and drivers have
faced an uphill battle to maintain operations at the airport. The drivers and
owners say they are being unfairly ticketed by police officers who they allege
impose tickets and fines selectively.

**Sounds like a security issue to me. An international airport can't afford to have 20 to 30 empty, idling taxi's lined up at the airport entrance.

But what do I know, (Me, I'm just a lawnmower - you can tell me by the way I walk)

U.S. Muslim Coalition Considers Suspending Relations with FBI

UPDATE: This sentence from the statement issued by CAIR just caught my attention;

"Through civil rights advocacy, civic and political engagement, and the promotion of dialogue with interfaith leaders and law enforcement agencies, Muslim Americans continue to be a positive and stabilizing force in keeping our nation safe and secure from acts of violence and foreign threats."

Is the islamic community admitting to the terroristic issues plaguing the ummah? Can it be they're finally emerging from the denial, the "islam-means-peace" mentality? Are they ready to acknowledge that "not-all-muslims-are-terrorists" rather, "all-terrorists-are-muslims"? Will we see carnage in America again now that this "coalition" is reconsidering their "relationship" with law enforcement? We shall see......

This whine-O-gram just in; the unindicted coconspirators have announced their “religion of peace” coreligionists coalition are “considering suspending relations with the FBI.

Apparently the islamic coalition didn’t get the FBI memo stating their plan to cut ties with CAIR. They really need to do a better job keeping up with current events.

U.S. Muslim Coalition Considers Suspending Relations with FBI
Move comes following incidents of FBI targeting mosques, Muslim groups

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 3/17/2009) - A coalition* of major national Islamic organizations today announced that it is considering suspending outreach relations with the FBI, citing recent incidents in which American mosques and Muslim groups have been targeted.

In a statement, the American Muslim Taskforce on Civil Rights and Elections (AMT), said:

Muslim communities throughout the United States have made significant advances in promoting and contributing to a fair, free and pluralistic society.

Through civil rights advocacy, civic and political engagement, and the promotion of dialogue with interfaith leaders and law enforcement agencies, Muslim Americans continue to be a positive and stabilizing force in keeping our nation safe and secure from acts of violence and foreign threats.

Despite fear-mongering by a vocal minority, Muslim Americans are natural allies of law enforcement agencies in ensuring the wellbeing of our nation. Muslims are law-abiding and productive citizens who uphold the democratic principles of freedom, equality and justice.

Yet recent incidents targeting American Muslims lead us to consider suspending ongoing outreach efforts with the FBI.

In California, the FBI sent a convicted criminal to pose as an agent provocateur in several of that state’s mosques. An FBI agent allegedly told one of the mosque attendees that the agency would make his life a "living hell" if he did not become an informant.

The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) wrote in a recent statement, headlined “FBI Losing Partnership with American Muslim Community” - “Trust is the cornerstone of any partnership between law enforcement and communities. It can only be established and maintained through clear and open communication. Without this, trust is eroded and suspicions arise on all sides. This clearly does not serve anyone's interests…It is now up to the FBI and law enforcement agencies to re-engage with the Muslim American community, and re-build trust and respect.”

Early last fall, the FBI began a disengagement campaign in its relations with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest and most respected Muslim civil rights organization.The FBI suspended contacts with CAIR pending the resolution of unspecified “issues.”

In response, the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California, an umbrella organization of many Muslim groups, suspended outreach to the FBI in February. The council’s letter to the FBI stated in part:
“Our commitment to ensuring the rights, interests, and prosperity of American Muslims and all Americans is unconditional. We hope the FBI will have the foresight to restore its relationship with such a vital link to the American Muslim community.”

We believe the FBI’s unjustified actions are based on the May 2007 designation of some 300 groups and individuals, including several major American Muslim groups such as CAIR, the Islamic society of North America (ISNA) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), as “unindicted co-conspirators” (UCC) in conjunction with the Holy Land Foundation trial in Dallas, Texas.

Making this unjust designation public violates the Justice Department’s own guidelines and wrongly implies that those listed are somehow involved in criminal activity.

Bias and faulty premises dominated post-9/11 law enforcement analysis of the Muslim community and the threat assessment to national security.The waning days of the previous administration witnessed a flourishing of anti-Muslim activity.

There is even inter-agency information being disseminated that claims civil rights advocacy is part of a Muslim conspiracy to implement Shari’a law in order to destroy the United States.Recent government actions seemed to be based on this bizarre premise.

These McCarthy-era tactics are detrimental to a free society.

The credibility of all Muslim organizations who maintain ties to the FBI that do not react decisively is undermined in the eyes of the community.Our fear is that counter-intelligence programs are quelling lawful dissent.

What is most frightening is that FBI abuses are no longer covert, and are slowly being integrated into the already expansive laws regulating law enforcement activity.

Internationally, in light of President Obama’s initiative of dialogue with the Muslim world, such actions negatively impact U.S. interests.

If the FBI does not accord fair and equitable treatment to every American Muslim organization, including CAIR, ISNA and NAIT, then Muslim organizations, mosques and individuals will have no choice but to consider suspending all outreach activities with FBI offices, agents and other personnel. This possible suspension, of course, would in no way affect our unshakable duty to report crimes or threats of violence to our nation.

We call on the FBI to reassess its positions on profiling and the use of informants as agents provocateurs within the Muslim communities.We further request objective evaluation of the sources of information and analysis utilized to formulate decisions.

Notwithstanding such requests, we call on Muslim organizations and individuals to petition their elected representatives to hold hearings to address these grave matters of concern to the Muslim community.

We fully expect that the President’s calls for inclusion will not be derailed by irresponsible elements in and outside of government fomenting anti-Muslim bias in this great nation.

A whine-O-gram sent out on Friday has the North Carolina state senator soliciting the faithful for funds.

And let’s not for get the work they’re doing to ensure America is just a little bit less safe by contesting the “no-hijab-wearing-allowed” for the privilege of obtaining a driver’s license.

As of this posting, it appears Shaw is still a NC state senator. The North Carolina General Assembly website states that Larry Shaw is still the district 21 senator for the 2009 - 2010 session.

MeThinks there's an obvious conflict of interest. When is someone going to demand Shaw to step down?
